“Great location, quiet comfortable room, parking a bit expensive.”

“Overall the experience was fair. There was no one big thing that made it an awful stay, however there were several smaller things that did not make very enjoyable. One major flaw was that I was awakened every morning at 6 AM because the person in the room next to mine decided to take a shower and somehow either the pipes ran over my bed or the bathroom walls are too thin. Either way the noise was very loud and disturbing. Also, housekeeping did a poor job at cleaning the room and they never provided me with clean glasses for water. They only wiped the glasses and left smudges on them but never provided new ones. Also the rooms have no safe, refrigerator nor microwave. Internet is only provided via hard wire and it is extremely slow. No wireless access in the room at all. Also the pool was not kept in that it is in need of resurfacing. The breakfast was overpriced and did not taste too good. Overall it is not ideal for a business traveler in my opinion who may stay for an extended period of time.”

“You couldn't ask for a better location in Philly - one of the most walk able cities in the US. You are wedged between the museums and the shopping, 20 minute walk to the historic sites. If you take the SEPTA, it is one block from train to hotel.”

“The staff was great from the moment I arrived, they even let me switch to a double room my second night without a problem. The rooms are very comfortable, spacious and nicely appointed. The location is awesome!”

“All the amenities of this hotel are fine, except the walls of my hotel room adjoined the walls of the elevators' motors. Every time an elevator was used, I was awakened.”

“Good basic hotel. Hotel restaurant was closed for renovations. A little put off by dusty bathroom vent and bed frames.”

“Good for business travelers in the heart of downtown. But do not expect comfort from this Comfort Inn. It's rooms were adequate, but below-par for the price. Having said that, let me also say: the shabbiness of the room and common spaces were wholly off-set by the quality of the staff, which was excellent.”

“I thought that this hotel was beautiful and luxurious, and it was in a great location in center city Philadelphia. The staff was overall friendly and helpful, and although it was very upscale, it was still pretty family friendly.”

“Beautifully decorated 2.5 stars hotel with many 4 star touches, such as double sheeted duvet. Incredible value, very central location. Comfortable beds, incredible view. Awesome lobby. Great architectural details. Huge room and bath. Should put trash can in toilet/shower room in addition to sink area. Our windows were fixed shut at the 15th floor, possibly a fire hazard.”

“This hotel is a great for staying in Philly. High class, comfortable and convenient. The staff is very pleasant. The beds and pillows are incredibly comfortable - it's like sleeping on a cloud, amazing! Beware of the parking fees if you're driving. $32/day or night for self-park or $42/day for valet with in/out privileges.”

“Hotel was supposed to be in a quieter area than the center city/downtown. To my disappointment, the lobby was too loud with drunk people. I've stayed at the hotel before and I did realize a upgrade of the elevator and the bathrooms. But the loud party of some sort in the lobby was a downgrade.”

“Buried in downtown Philly, don't bother getting a car. Traffic is horrible and it'll run you for a valet, and charge you to self park, with no in out privs.”

“Excellent hotel in the middle of Philadelphia and only a short walking distance to historical sights. Hotel staff couldn't be nicer or more helpful. Only negatives were the traffic and parking prices but I guess that is what you get in a big city.”

“Everything about the hotel was great with one minor problem. While lying in bed I noticed a mouse scurry across the floor and under the dresser. When I looked under the dresser there was a dead mouse (which was definitely there for quite some time) in a trap under the dresser. The staff was very apologetic and offered to move rooms and gave me a free breakfast. I'm not the squeamish type so it didn't really bother me, but could see how this type of thing would really bother others. I don't want to alarm other potential visitors because I know this was definitely a fluke thing and the hotel was spotless other than that.”

“I hotel was lovely, the staff was great. The scenery was fabulous! The mini - bars and extra snacks was a plus, (expensive however)! The room was very clean, and extremely cozy. Our view was not so great, because it overlooked a tower office building and a mall, besides that I have no complaint. The room I had was 809- that room overlooked a mall, don't get that, lol.”

“If you flying into Philadelphia look into staying at the Marriott Hotel at the airport. With a choice of car rental companies and easy access to the City and many nearby attractions, it is a wonderful central location. And, when your ready to leave, you can just walk across the connection walkway and your at the airport.”

“I had a wonderful stay at the Marriott. Spacious, comfortable rooms with quality linens. The pool was very nice, as was the larger hot tub. My only complaint (as with most upscale hotels) was that you could not access the internet for free and there wasn't a fridge or microwave in the room. Other than that I was very pleased!”

“Our room was comfortable, with a very comfortable bed, sofa, and read coffee mugs instead of disposable cups. They provided a sleep well kit that included a relaxation CD, earplugs, eye mask, and lavender linen spray. A very nice touch. The alarm clock was very nice and had relaxation sounds built in as well. The bathroom was adequate in size, and the toiletries provided smelled wonderful. The shower, however, had very poor water pressure, and we couldn't use the shower the second day because of this. Very frustrating to have to basically sponge bathe yourself at a hotel! Hopefully this will be fixed. Overall, a nice hotel. I think 2.5-stars might be more appropriate.”

“The Crowne Plaza is a pretty good place to stay in Philadelphia. It is a bit of a walk from Independence Park, but it is also close to Ritten House Square with many good places to eat nearby. It certainly appears to be aimed more at the business client, but was still fine as a tourist. The main downside is that the bathroom is very small.”

“The hotel was great overall! The concierge was very helpful, of the 3 ladies at the counter, the one that helped me was not very understanding. The room was very nice, the view was nice, the restaurant downstairs was romantic but pricy. I would love to stay at this hotel again.”

“Good location with a very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are nice and clean with very much appreciated internet access. Hotel is under renovation with balky elevators. Parking is expensive with inconvenient waits to retrieve car.”

“The hotel was nice. I would describe it as a corporate hotel. A bit stiff. We had a great view of the bridge from our window. The bed was very comfortable & the room was clean. The bar area was stiff & the bartender was not very friendly. I would rate this hotel a 3.5 star rather than the 4 star.”
