“This Hyatt is a wonderful facility that is completely mismanaged. We had a room change required by a very loud group that had been spread throughout the hotel, college kids. It seemed a real bother to move our room, although we were one of several guests who had complained about the noise. Upon checking into our new room, the hotel later checked another guest into our room. This mistake, in addition to giving another guest a key to our room, also rendered our key inoperable. Upon discussing with management, they apologized and said they would be available. Errors like this are marginally acceptable at a 1 or 2 star hotel. Both the incident and the management response without offering confidence that they would investigate how that happened are unacceptable to us.”

“The hotel stay was great! The room was comfortable and the room service was prompt and efficient. However, I cannot stress this enough, the parking options are horrible! If you drive be prepared to pay in excess of $40.00 per day for valet parking, and $30.00 per day for self parking! This is absolutely insane!”

“Initially upon arriving to the hotel I was shocked at how great the location was. I was even more impressed when I walked into the lobby and saw how nice everything looked. I loved every minute of it. The hospitality of the staff was stellar. The cleanliness of the room was superb. I would be so lucky to get a deal like this again.”

“The hotel was very nice but was not a 4 star except in service where it was 5 star. There is nothing around the hotel and it felt desolate. The pool was okay but there were dirty towels everywhere, the floor was dirty and I had to ask for clean towels to be brought out. The hotel staff were very nice and very accommodating. The airport shuttle runs very smoothly and they have several to accommodate large crowds.”

“The staff was curt and short in there responses. The Marriott offered us parking at a rate of $47.00 per night! I was forced to seek alternative parking on my own for $30.00 per day. I was very disappointed to have to pay for parking. Robbery! The hotel was in a good location and clean.”

“Wireless internet should be free, short term parking should be extended, like the Holiday Inn.”

“The hotel was comfortable, but with a four star rating I was expecting more from the staff. Never did we get assistance from Bellmen or doormen. We actually had to assist an elderly women w/luggage because there was no one around. The initial room clean left a little to be desired. But the room was comfortable. I would recommend to others.”

“Very comfortable room and very clean. Their is a Starbucks in the premise, but the breakfast options are not many, and a bit expensive in one of the hotel restaurants. But, because the hotel is so close to the market, my second night I ate at the diner there for less and much better food. The hotel parking fee is pretty expensive ($41), but there is a parking garage right in front of it, I paid $30, still expensive, but better. What I was not very happy is that the hotel doesn't have free Internet access, you have to pay $9.99 for every night you use it. There is wireless access in the Starbucks, but you have to be a T-mobile costumer.”

“Hotel was nicely appointed. Because of some road changes, it was not as convenient as I thought it would be.”

“This hotel was great. Very convenient to the sites. Close enough to walk or if tired a quick bus ride home. The staff was very courteous, friendly and full of helpful information. Our room was very clean and tidy. I have already recommended this hotel to friends.”

“Incredibly crowded, noisy, chaotic lobby due to conventions (the weekend prior to the PA primary). Polite helpful desk clerk. Perfectly comfortable room. Didn't sample bars or restaurants so no comment on those. Did buy coffee at the lobby Starbucks as we left on Sunday at around 11 a.m. Huge, long lines, very long waits. Polite staff working as hard & fast as possible, but understaffed.”

“Good for basic traveler's needs; has all the required amenities and services, however, not as luxurious as we expected small room, blocked view from the window, noisy A/C.”

“Would have been relatively family friendly if an actual restaurant would have been open. Also, no mini bar! I was totally shocked. And had no place to put my child's snacks.”

“I would highly recommend this hotel to business and leisure travelers. It is centrally located near public transportation and within walking distance of many attractions, retail stores and restaurants. The staff could not be nicer. The room was very quiet. It was nicely decorated and very clean.”

“As is so often the case with large Marriott convention hotels, this one lacked personality. The staff varied from wonderful (the parking valets) to sneering and indifferent (check-in front desk personnel). The room was surprisingly un-soundproofed, with the sound of showering in other rooms coming through the walls. No free wireless in the room is ridiculous in this day and age.”

“While the hotel was a little dated, the cleanliness was good. The air conditioning was not working so they supplied a fan. We could also hear the kids in the pool until 10pm when it closed.”

“If you drive to the Downtown Philadelphia Marriott, save time and money by parking at one of the nearby city garages rather than fighting the congestion at the hotel entrance to use the overpriced valet parking service. Public transportation and sightseeing busses are within a few steps of the hotel entrance. This is a centrally located, big, busy hotel that is adjacent to the Philadelphia Convention Center and across the street from the Reading Terminal Market.”

“I think the return for my money was terrific. The hotel's location was great. There were shops and restaurants within walking distance. The fee to park our car was reasonable and offered in-and-out service. The sleep number bed has me now wanting one for home. I truly rested well. Overall the hotel was a fabulous.”

“Good location, comfortable bed and pillows. room suffered from neglect, windows did not work, no remote for TV, stale smoke odor with smoke detector torn from wall. I had trouble breathing in room from smoke smell. Front desk brought up bottle of Lysol. It did not help.”

“We called two weeks before to request a mini-fridge and a king bed, neither of which were recorded or available upon our arrival (we did eventually get a fridge). The hotel is undergoing renovations, and we apparently were in an unrenovated room. The carpets were old and faded and there was paint chipping in the bathroom. Definitely not a 3 star hotel.”

“The hotel was great. I was upset that we were given a small room with only 1 bed when I typed in 2 adults and 2 children on my request. I'm not upset with the hotel, they switched my room the second day as soon as a bigger room became available. We spent the whole night trying not to fall off the edge of the bed or roll over onto our children. My neck is still stiff!”

“Is that a really 4 star hotel?, I did not even stay at the hotel, that's how much I was embarrassed to meet business partners there. Went to have a appetizer and a cocktail, and the bartender was so rude and not professional, the staff really didn't want to be there.”

“I would recommend the hotel to anyone, and only suggest that they get a room on one of the upper floors to be a little more removed from the street noise. There's a firehouse a block away and a big delivery truck idled outside our window Saturday morning from 7:30 to 8:30 so the sleep I got wasn't very restful. I would absolutely stay there again.”

“Overall much like other Westins I have stayed at. No, especially, kid friendly, really no facilities for kids at all, but I wasn't overly concerned about that. I enjoyed my stay. The staff was accommodating.”

“In February, we stayed at the Double Tree Hilton in Philly and loved it! This Sheraton did not meet up to my expectations at all! It was old and dingy. The tile, the floor, the pool area, even the bed was not nearly as comfortable as the Double Tree. Also, it was on the tail end of the city center! Not a good location for us at all. The room service menu they provide you is obsolete, as the room service attendant so rudely informed us. Why is it in the book then? Very displeased with this hotel! Would not stay again!”

“The hotel was clean and situated in a good location for sightseer's. The hotel staff did nothing even though I contacted them 3 times about the extremely loud people that were next to me. I became sick from lack of sleep and stress. I would be very unlikely to stay at this hotel again if I don't receive an apology and some kind of adequate reimbursement.”
