  • Location.
  • Old, beat-up room.

“Excellent location. This hotel is barely a 3-star hotel, beat-up, dark, tiny room. Saw a mouse running across the main hall on the 1st floor.”

  • Very clean and up to date, the beds were so comfortable.
  • No transportation from airport, but the train system was great.

“I love the hotel and would stay there again, next time I go there.”

  • Location
  • Attention to details.

“Great location and room had many items left in the drawers from a previous guest and the bath soap that was provided was the size of a dime.”

  • I liked how the room was customized to fit my needs.

“The NH Barbizon Palace had one of the best locations in town. It was perfect for me arriving with luggage at the central train station, as it was a very short walk away. I dropped my bags and off I went to the information center (right in front of the train station) where you can take a free walking tour of the city. The hotel made everything possible thanks to its wonderful location. Upon arrival in my room, I noticed they had left a goody bag in my bed, with all the toiletries I could possibly need (it was a room catered to female occupants). I felt welcome and comfortable.”

  • Its location was central
  • It looked as if no major investment was made in upkeep in 20 years

“It claims to be a 5-Star hotel, but is worse than all 5-Star and most 4-Star hotels I have stayed at in the last few years. The room was cramped, with very old and poorly maintained carpets and furnishings. The key card needed to access the elevator and room did not work properly (requiring 3-8 swipes to register). I would have actually been embarassed to receive a visitor.”
