• The spacious room was great. And, if I had been sharing, having two sinks is a real plus.

“Valley River Inn has always maintained the property well. It is still my favorite place to stay after 29 years of traveling to Eugene, Oregon.”

• The room was large enough and comfortable with a king-size bed.
• The tub had hair left in it when I checked into the room. I had to clean it out before using it.

“Overall the hotel was nice. It has older buildings, but the room itself was nice and modern. The bed, office chair and lounge chair were very comfortable. I was pleased with the number of TV channels available and that there was high-speed internet access in my room. The food I ordered from room service was very good and plentiful. The hotel was quiet; the only noise I heard was from the hallway, but it did not interfere with my stay or sleep. I arrived at the hotel an hour and a half before check-in time, but was able to get in my room immediately. The only negative aspect of my stay was the body hair I found in the bathtub when I went to take a bath. I thought that was gross and an unnecessary oversight on the part of the housekeeping staff.”

• I had to park a considerable distance away and it was pouring down rain.

• Nice setting by the river, close to malls and major roads, nice rooms.
• Overpriced restaurant with poor service, kind of a confusing layout to find your room, especially when using an elevator.

“A very attractive hotel with nice rooms, comfortable beds. Located in a beautiful setting by the river. Would stay there again but I would avoid the restaurant.”

• Convenient location to both Valley River Center/Mall and the river walk.
• Nothing comes to mind

• clean, good beds, easy to park
• lots of floor noise from the room above, asked for more blankets, did not get them

• Good basic clean room.
• The TV was small and the room was one of few without a balcony.

“Close to shopping and on the river the VRI is a large hotel.”

• Beautiful grounds and comfortable beds
• Walls are not insulated.

“This is our fourth stay and this time we were given a beautiful room overlooking the pool. On a Sunday night when the hotel is empty, they still put us next to someone. The neighbors did not flush until 7AM and I did not flush during the night so we were compatible. This hotel really needs to be more sensitive to their lack of insulation problem and spread people out on nights of low occupancy. Also, always ask for a room away from the icemaker or you will regret it.

• Great restaurant.
• The card keys did not work in getting into the building, we had to return to the front desk, get help and even they couldn't get the door open.
