  • The refurbished rooms are OK. The hotel is directly off the highway exit and easy to find.
  • There aren't enough words to list what I didn't like.

“This hotel is a dive unless you request a refurbished room. The first room we were given was straight from 1982 with a lousy television, peeling wallpaper, dorm-room furniture and carpet stains. After glimpsing a refurbished room that was being cleaned, we requested a refurbished room the next day which was cleaner, had a flat-screen TV, and fresh paint/bedding. However, the beds are as hard as a rock and sleeping on the floor would probably be just as comfortable. Beware, if you stay at this hotel be sure to ask for a remodeled room! Also, this hotel is listed as Harrisburg East - it certainly is East of Harrisburg - 14 miles East! It's 7 miles north of Hershey. We deliberately didn't choose the Hershey area because we wanted to be closer to Harrisburg. If we had chosen the Hershey area we would have been closer to Harrisburg than we were staying at this Harrisburg East hotel. This hotel does have an indoor pool - if you don't mind the strong chlorine odor.”

  • Super friendly staff.
  • Filthy carpeting, spray painted elevator doors, rings in toilet & tub, noisy bath fan, moldy fridge.

“Hugely overpriced and terribly kept. The staff was very nice but this hotel made me never want to stay in another holiday Inn. It was a non-smoking facility but the smoking area was at the front door so my family and I had to walk through a group of drunk chain smokers to get to the lobby.”

  • The soap was nice
  • There were no luggage carts available to get your things to the room

“This place was fine for what I needed it for. However, in a non-smoking room the sheets smelled like smoke. I was traveling with an infant there were no luggage carts to haul our things in.”

  • The pool was really nice and the restaurant gave kids free meals.
  • My room reeked of cigarette smoke and no other rooms were available.

“This hotel was very convenient to the highway and to Hershey park. Generally, the hotel was clean and very comfortable. The pool was really nice and the hotel was very family friendly. Unfortunately, I was booked in a smoking room and it reeked of cigarette smoke - there were no other rooms available. This really affected our stay since my daughter has asthma and it was just generally bad and uncomfortable.”

  • Not much. Ended up with 2 double beds, room was extremely dusty and well worn.
  • Please read above comment.

“I would not recommend it. Every thing that I could see in this hotel was well worn. It is also a very large hotel and does not have a cozy feel. We ended up with a room right across from the elevator and were prepared for not getting a good nights sleep because you could hear people getting on and off. I think the only saving grace was that it was a Sunday night so things were not very busy.”

  • Location.
  • Lack of parking.

“Rooms are clean but due to other events parking is limited for guests. Prices for food and drinks was high. Very limited choice of
TV without paying extra.”
