• The pool was great. The breakfast buffet was great.
• Nothing.

“The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. The king-sized bed was very comfortable. Breakfast buffet had the perfect amount of food. Just curious why they don't put fans in hotel bathrooms anymore.”

• The hotel served our purposes very well and we would stay there again.
• All was fine except the toilet didn't work well for no reason! The hot tub was just warm.

• It was a good location.
• I would have liked it better if it was updated and cleaner.

“It is an older Holiday Inn so it could stand to be updated and freshened up. It is in a good location for Madison East side. I have stayed here several times and will go back when I visit Madison again.”

• Friendly front desk employees.
• Other employees somewhat short when asked questions.

“Location is great. Kids under 12 stay and eat free. Got very loud at midnight when a wedding ended, dogs barking, kids yelling. Someone threw up at the pool in the evening was still there when it reopened in the morning. Everyone had problems getting into the pool area. You'd swipe your card, but by the time you got to the door, the green light was out. I asked two different employees and was told they're doing it wrong.”

• The room was clean, comfortable, attractive, as was the lobby.
• We didn't get USA Today - were told they ran out. Went for coffee at 8:30 a.m. - they ran out!

“The hotel itself was comfortable and attractive. However, the staff was not particularly friendly in their greetings or in their responses to inquiries. Not having enough morning newspapers for all rooms and running out of lobby coffee at 8:30 a.m. was an inconvenience to us, and the staff was not at all apologetic about it.”

• The staff was friendly and helpful.
• The placement of the elevators were inconvenient.

“We thought the hotel was clean and the staff was concerned and helpful. The facility wasn't laid out very well. We had to lug our suitcases up the stairs because the elevator (one) was on the other side of the building.”

• The hotel was quiet, easy to locate, close to the shopping mall.
• The road construction -- not their fault.

“This hotel was easy to locate, had a comfortable bed, and everything appeared to be clean. They provided coffee, shampoo, lotion and a hair dryer -- all conveniences for the traveler.”

• Very comfortable rooms and good coffee!! Very important to me. Also ironing board, and iron.
• All was okay.

• Manager claimed she would send vouchers for a free stay because it was so horrible.
• Dirty sheets, ants crawling all over, non-smoking room stunk like a cigar. Entirely dissatisfied.

“Previous Holiday Inn experiences have been excellent. However, upon arriving, our non-smoking room smelled heavily of a cigar. There were ants in the bathroom and a piece of food from previous occupants between the beds with ants on it. We returned to our room late and turned down the sheets to find a disgusting stain on obviously unwashed sheets. It was 1 am and there were no employees to be found to amend the situation. We covered the other bed in towels and slept with our coats as blankets. This was easily the worst hotel experience we've ever had. The manager apologized sincerely and claimed she would send vouchers for a free stay. If we do not receive this or some sort of apologetic offering under vastly improved circumstances, we will not stay with any Holiday Inn again.”

• It met my needs for the trip I was on. It has a great pool (very large) and deep.
• The hotel was very noisy until after 1 am. There were over 20 college kids partying very late.

“ A great place if you want to swim in a huge indoor pool. The rooms are pleasant. Check-in was quick and easy. ”
