• Staff was courteous and friendly.
• Pool was small and filled with an aerobics class.

• Great price and good atmosphere.

“The hotel was clean and well maintained. The staff was pleasant. The restaurant had a good menu with good quality food. The only issue I had was when I took my children to the pool and they were conducting elderly physical therapy in the pool. I was told my children and I could use the pool but not to splash. It is a small pool and there was no space for us. I think the hotel should let it be know that these classes will be taking place and that the pool will be closed for that time period. It was our last morning there and my children were looking forward to one last swim before we left.”

• Ample parking.
• Coffee was not fresh and hot at 5 am.

• The TV offerings, the location to attractions the value for my money.

“It wasnt bad for the money. The room was much larger than expected! It also has a nice kitchenette. a great value if you are just looking for a comfortable place to stay.”

• The front lobby was attractive.
• It was dirty.

“On the surface things are clean...unless you look 1/4 inch under the bed and see the dust, dirt, crumbs, etc. lying there. The TV had 5-6 Punjab or Urdu language stations, and half of the English language stations weren't working. The restaurant on site, while not owned by the hotel, was abysmal, spoiled applesauce and wilted lettuce on the salad bar; French fries nearly raw, and high prices. Never again.”

• I was looking for a cheap, basic, clean place to stay, and that's what this place was.
• The beds were somewhat hard.

“Other reviews I have seen were very negative. But, if you're looking for a cheap and basic clean place to stay, close to Montpelier and within easy reach of Mad River Valley, this is it.”

• Free Internet for guests in loby. Bathroom was really nice.
• Main hallway was a little dimly lit.

“The Hilltop Inn was very nice. The bathroom was exceptional, from the tile to the fixtures. The room was nice, with two queen beds, textured wallpaper, iron and ironing board, table and chairs, and television. As a frequent traveler, I really appreciated the free internet access in the lobby.”

• The room was good sized and right off the highway.
• The cleaning staff didn't clean and items were broken no internet.

“The hotel is in a great location central to a lot in the Barre, Montpelier and Randolph.”
