  • Walls thin. Could hear the people talking next door clear.

“This hotel was great for the price. They have a nice continental breakfast with hot and cold items and the pool is open 24 hours.”

  • The inclusion of breakfast was very good.
  • The bed was too hard.

“Good value for money. Clean, and nice. The room was comfortable, except for the bed which was way to firm for me. I had difficulty sleeping and my back ached as a result of the firmness, but this is pretty much standard for most hotels.”

  • Location.
  • Busy front desk with one receptionist.

“Just OK, very average location with noisy rooms.”

  • Comfortable accommodation, great breakfast.
  • Would have liked it to be on the ocean.

“Pleasant place to stay. Would return to this hotel.”

  • Location was good.
  • Not the nicest room.

“The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hot tub was out of order. Their continental breakfast had decent food, but there was no where to eat. Had to take our meal back to our room. The room was clean and decent sized, but we could see daylight out of the bottom of the front door. We expected a nicer hotel.”

  • Good breakfast.
  • Poor maintenance, broken appliances, broken shower.

“Barely a two-star hotel, with declining general quality due to poor maintenance.”

  • The room was nice.
  • The breakfast was not nice with no sitting area.

“For our purposes this hotel was what met our needs. We were across from the swimming pool but were surprised that there was little noise. However, there was a lot of noise from either the room above us or running in a hallway above us.”

  • Clean, excellent location, friendly, we will be back!

“We actually stayed at the Shilo Inn on the ocean.
The front desk clerk went out of her way (on a busy night) to accommodate us and made arrangements for us to stay at the Shilo Inn we desired. The service was wonderful, the hotel was clean and we will defiantly be back!”

  • Good location.
  • Not as clean as it should have been. Human waste on the back side of the bedspread.

“Nice location, relatively clean (except noted above). Requested Shilo East to make reservations for dinner. That was done when we got there we requested a table, they told us they had only booths available, so they sat us in the bar, passing many empty tables on the way. I think we must have been invisible for a good 20 minutes. I had to reach out to a waitress as she was passing by to ask if we could place an order. The food was good, the service was lousy.”

  • The rooms are big! We stayed in a king room and it was huge.
  • Breakfast area is small and in the lobby.

“I thought the price was high considering the distance from the beach. However, the room was
very big and clean! It was a nice change after spending 3 nights in a downtown Portland hotel. Rooms have a refrigerator, in room coffee, and a microwave. I would recommend.”

  • Pool, location.
  • Room was tiny.

“Would not recommend this hotel based on our experience. The wireless Internet never worked, the room was the size of a closet, loud neighbors,
no tables and chairs anywhere to eat their continental breakfast. Ended up eating at the check in counter!”

  • Huge room. Appeared to be recently redecorated.
  • Terrible view out our window
a junk, car, boat, shabby sheds lot.

“Breakfast hardly rated the word
mediocre juice, coffee, shaky pastries, small apple.”

  • Location.
  • Could have used more pillows and blankets.

“Other than needing pillows and blankets, the hotel was great. If we vacation in Seaside again, will probably stay at Shilo Inn again.”
