“Nice historic features in the French Quarter of New Orleans, but the hotel has not been renovated to stay modern. Example, old paint, disrepair, etc.”

“This hotel is quaint with older types of furniture that one might expect for a French Quarter hotel. For $20, I was upgraded to a nice room with balcony and jacuzzi tub. The only problem was the room next door had a door between the rooms so that this could be a suite. Because of this, I could hear everything going on in the neighboring room. The rooms are ok and loved the inside courtyard.”

“The breakfast and the rooms were good, but the waitresses and desk employees were kind of cranky.”

“I would most definitely stay here again. I thought the location was great and we all had a very good time. The view of the courtyard is great and the view of the downtown buildings is well worth remembering. The rooms were clean and the staff, for the most part (minus valet), very hospital. I plan on coming back for sure.”

“The morning front desk staff was rude and the General Manager refused to contact me about the mold in my room and the stale smell. Finally changed our room on the last day. The original room left me sick to my stomach every morning when I woke up and every evening when I went to sleep. The last room we were given was fine. My advise is stay away from the court yard rooms on the second floor and do not drive there.”

“We were right by Bourbon St. so for my friend and I who are both female we felt completely safe going to and from the hotel at night. The only problem we had was that the bathroom was a little dirty (like most hotels), but not enough for us to complain. It also has a bidet, which was weird, but it is an old hotel. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel for breakfast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be right there by Bourbon Street.”

“It was just off Bourbon Street and within walking distance of all of The French Quarter. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. I would say that there is a beautiful courtyard at the hotel and there were two weddings, which was nice, but, the music from the reception bands was a very loud.”

“The hotel only had one ice machine. My room had no lock on the window, when requesting it to be repaired was asked why I wanted it repaired. Weddings held in courtyard both nights with so loud music it was impossible to relax in the room and get out of the noise of Bourbon Street.”

“Beds were clean and room was ok but could use a little more cleaning. If you want a room close to the action and a reasonable price it is not a bad place.”

“Conveniently located in the French Quarter between Bourbon and Royal. Charming old world style with spacious rooms and cheerful staff. Exquisite restaurant.”

“Manager was wearing an unprofessional t-shirt at check-in. Room had no smoke detector and the heat/AC was wacky. Ice machine dispensed ice with little balls of rust or something. The location was excellent, just steps away from Bourbon Street but not so close that we could hear noise from Bourbon Street. Constant weddings in the courtyard.”

“I think the hotel could be beautiful if it were cleaner, better staffed, more amenities, they have a while to go to get there. Wouldn't stay there again.”

“Nice courtyard, convenient location. Carpet needs to be cleaned or replaced. Bathroom could have been cleaned better. Plan to spend an extra $18 for self-parking (must walk a block to garage), or $25 for valet.”

“The Saint Louis lobby is well furnished and well kept. The staff was friendly. I enjoyed the spacious room that was also furnished tastefully. A very important feature in the room, a comfortable mattress. A must after roaming the streets of New Orleans.”

“This is an older, charming hotel a few doors from Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. There was no street noise that made it to my room when I was resting. The staff was friendly and courteous. I would recommend this hotel as an excellent place to stay.”

“A $2.50 charge for phone charge, just to have the phone in the room, long wait time when there was no other person waiting for a car 45 minutes is too long. Bedding is unacceptable condition, and overall unprofessional staff, rude and inconsiderate.” Hotel Representatives:
