• It was close to Manhattan without the Manhattan pricetag

“The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly. It's only a short train ride into the city. I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting New York and doesn't want to break the bank.”

• The room was clean.
• We had to park on the street, took shuttle bus and it was to come back at a time which it didn't.

“The room was clean. No parking. We had to park our nice car on the street. Had to go ask several times for help to find parking and the area people were not that helpful when this happened.”

• Ugly neighborhood, too far to subway, not enough parking.

“The Fairfield Long Island City provided a clean, decent room at a great rate for our family's trip to NYC. The beds were fairly comfortable and the free breakfast was nice. The hotel did offer shuttle service to the Subway but overall the location was poor, in a dreary industrial area. We were unable to get off street parking any of the the three nights. For the price it was a good deal but in the future I would like to stay at a hotel in a slightly nicer neighborhood and within walking distance to the subway.”

• Free shuttle to airport/subway. Great breakfast and friendly staff.

“Great hotel! The staff was great. Very helpful and remembered my name. Guy at the front desk was great and so was the shuttle driver. Great breakfast and room was cozy and extremely clean. Had a hair dryer and iron/ironing board in the room. 24hours of free internet.
I don't have any complaints.”

• Good breakfast and complimentary shuttle service.
• Too remote and totally nothing nearby the hotel.

“Good shuttle service to the airport and the nearest subway station - though the shuttle bus is a bit too small and cramped without much capacity it easily gets full breakfast was excellent with a variety which is really acceptable. Free internet service in the business center and free document printing service provided at no cost - good for leisure travelers. The wired internet in the room wasn't working - we had to use the wireless connection which was a bit slow in the room - and the hotel staff was unable to offer any help in light of the wired connection which was out of order. Overall, good experience for budget accommodation near NYC.”

• Rooms are big and breakfast is good.
• Hotel location is remote. Transportation to hotel is a big problem.

“Everything with regards to hotel is good. Big problem is with transportation. It's 20 minutes walk to hotel and the path to hotel doesn't look very safe. If the shuttle is at hotel they'll send it to pick you up else you will have to walk all the way.”

• The area where it is located. It is safe, but not very nice.
