“We love the mansion. The service was top notch. The room was excellent and the bathroom was big. The linens were great as well.”

“The hotel was great with beautiful artwork, updated high end interiors, luxurious rooms and bathrooms. I was traveling with my husband and older children and it worked out great with the adjoining rooms. The rooms were quite spacious. Although there is a wonderful park across the street, you are far from the center of activity with some questionable areas nearby.”

“This hotel was in a very romantic setting. It came with all the amenities. My wife is handicap and they did a great job of considering her wheelchair needs. The room was beautifully decorated. Some of the contemporary artwork did not fit the romantic decor of the room”

“The design and presentation of this hotel were great. The room was very comfortable but the water pressure in the shower was very poor. There is a coffee pot in the room but it only has artificial creamer, there was no coffee with milk or cream available without going next door. The restaurant next door was also beautiful and they did have good coffee, but the breakfast choices were limited, fairly expensive and neither the waffle or the shrimp and crab omelet were very good. Housekeeping came by and knocked on the door at 8:00 am and woke us up. I did not feel that this was a five star experience.”

“The hotel appeared to be more luxurious than it actually was. I found the art in lobbies, hallways, etc. gaudy and generally in bad taste - to the point where
I didn't want to look at the walls. The beds were only moderately comfortable, newspapers weren't delivered in the morning. Turndown service only existed if you called for it, which we never bothered to do. Staff was helpful.”

“Huge rooms with lavish, over-the-top decor. Lovely old building filled with modern art. Rooms next to the street can be noisy. Restaurant is next door. Extra charge as resort fee for standard hotel amenities like daily newspaper, exercise facility and in-room coffee.”

“We found the hotel to be of funky Southern design, with extraordinary artwork throughout and a beautifully designed room. The breakfast service was inexpensive and delicious and the staff were all very knowledgeable about the area and helpful in all ways.
