“The Iron Horse Hotel was such a treat. We were surprised by how stylish it was and how friendly everyone was. Every detail is exquisite, and there is much attention to the details. Remember to ask why each room has a mural - it's a good story. Loud bar scene, live music until 1 am in the lobby, and delicious room service. Steer clear if you are looking for a quiet and kid-friendly hotel, but flock here if you are young (or young at heart) and want to have a great time!”

“The Iron Horse was a great hotel. Fantastic location in the 3rd Ward area of Milwaukee. Rooms were fabulous, comfy bed, huge shower. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel and while the food was pretty good the service, not so much. We had no silverware and asked for some when the food arrived. After waiting several minutes and seeing our waitress helping others and not coming back my husband went to the bar and got some. We also asked for mustard and ketchup and again, he had to get it from the bar. The waitress was very friendly and nice, just seemed a little scattered or maybe new.”

“The Iron Horse Hotel has a great feel to it from the moment you walk in the doors. The staff is very friendly and willing to answer questions or help in any way they can. The reception area is suitable for business people and for road weary travelers. The lounge is large and modernesque, with a full service bar and well made drinks. They have a full food menu in the lounge and the items are not chancy. There is also a library on the main floor which has a giant fireplace, many windows, and a large selection of soft and hard cover books to peruse. The room I stayed in (King Deluxe) is like a loft studio apartment I would expect to see in Chicago. There is a reception area when you walk in the room, with hooks for coats and a wood bench for putting on your shoes. The bathroom is very contemporary and has a walk-in shower where you can either use the removable shower head and seat or the large flower sprinkler main shower head. Fad able pin lights allow you to set the mood of the room, along with the fully stocked mini-fridge with a large selection of beer, liquor, and wine available at your discretion. A large hi-def TV, business desk, table, and lounge chair round out the room along with big windows to see the city with. Being new they did not have a shuttle service, which I very much could have used since I took the train there, but I was assured they would have in the near future. Parking is currently an issue unless you arrive by motorcycle. Hopefully this situation will be resolved in a manner that will be favorable to guests. Other than those couple of hiccups, the Iron Horse Hotel is a very worthwhile hotel which I will not shy away from staying at in the future.”

“The moment you pull up to the front entrance, you are transported into a moment out of time, in a time-worn, richly-character hotel in a beautifully converted cream-city brick and steel bedding factory. The staff usher you with genuine delight over your presence with them into a lobby that is simultaneously post-modern and historic, and the combination of smells from a variety of intended sources is intoxicating, including rough-sawn hard-wood floor tiles, the authentically old wood and steel building materials, the oil candles and the food from the kitchen. The lighting is artistically and masterfully installed, and the over-all atmosphere is one of being welcomed home. The rooms are stunning in their combination of modernity and preservation of the quintessential loft style, and the conveniences of the space meld nicely into aesthetics. The staff was superior in every way, and my wife and I can hardly wait to return. Enjoy your stay!”
