• The location - beach front.
• The $100 deposit at the time of check in.

“The refrigerator clicked all night and the housekeeping staff knocked on my door at 9:15 am when checkout was not until 11 am.”

• Nice place to say, clean, friendly staff, the elevators were a little slow.
• The elevators were slow. We had to wait 15 min on our floor for a elevator to arrive.

“Was never told by anyone at hotel that 8 people have drowned in Myrtle Beach in the past 2 weeks, 1 right out our door. I had my family in Myrtle Beach a few weeks ago and had my kids playing in the ocean. I should not have to hear from a waitress at my hotel to be careful in the ocean. I was crying at the breakfast table thinking about my own children in those waters. My heart goes out to all who have lost in those waters. I have said a prayer for the young child who is still missing. When speaking to the front desk associate I was told it was not their responsibility to tell guests about the drawings, it was the city's and it was posted in the local papers and news. I have one question who reads a newspaper while on vacation? Not many.”

• Location, staff, dining, lazy river, hot tubs, pool, lounge, the whole trip was great!
• Parking was across the street, in 4 different lots, one was 1/2 a block away.

“We had a great experience I would recommend this hotel to others, in fact, we are thinking about returning in August. This time, we will call the hotel directly because it would have been cheaper. The hotel was great!”

• Last day I was their no hot water.

• The room was clean spacious and colorful and the view was great.
• Parking was across the highway.

“I was very pleased with the room. It was large and the decor was pleasing to the eyes. From inside all I could see at first through the sliding glass doors was ocean. The balcony was adequate for the purpose and the view of the beach was superb. I enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was good and reasonably priced. All in all, I would go there again anytime.”

• Nice area, quiet, secluded, safe, swimming pool for kids is nice.
• Parking was horrible. Not convenient at all. I had to come back early to make sure I was able to get a parking space.

“Overall, it was great! Outside of the parking disaster, I would recommend this hotel to anyone. It is a great family resort with lots to do for children. The room was nice and the ocean view was very nice.”

• Location to the beach was great. Hotel was nice. Staff was friendly.
• Did not come in and clean the room/ make the beds.

“Directions to the hotel from Map quest are totally incorrect. It takes you to North Myrtle Beach, just for your information. When I called the hotel for help with directions they were very helpful. The hotel was nice and quiet. My only complaint is that they did not come in and straighten up the room or make the beds the day after we arrived. We were gone all day and when we returned the room had not been touched. Overall, it was a good stay and I would stay there again.”

• Cleanliness and friendly staff.
• No indoor pool. Gym condition was
  not good.

“Our 2-bedroom condo was excellent for our purposes. It was very clean and well-equipped. Our room was in close proximity of the pool, but with the doors closed, the noise level was not a problem. The only downside was that there was no indoor pool. The fitness room really needs attention. The breakfast buffet was excellent. Overall, we loved the Ocean Reef.”

• Nice and well maintained pools.
• Had to call maintenance on a few things and room was not stocked regularly with complimentary items like coffee or shampoo.

“Nice location. Parking was across a busy road from the hotel. The restaurant had very limited hours and menu did not offer room service. Hotel staff was very responsive to our maintenance needs.”
