  • Fairly new. Very clean. Excellent staff.

“Great hotel. Great location. Went to see my son who is in the Navy and was going on his first deployment. Hotel very close to his base. Has Fox Sport Bar within Hotel, very cool! Excellent stay, would stay there again.”

  • This Hilton is a much nicer hotel than the Hilton Gaslamp.

“Would absolutely stay in this hotel again. The location is not necessarily convenient to shopping, but not that far either. A two block walk puts you in the heart of the Gaslamp District.”

  • I like its convenient location. It was a walking distance to the night life of the gaslamp area.
  • The IKEA look and feel as I walked in.

“It is a newly built hotel so the rooms are still clean but I didn't like the fact that they charge $21 dollars for parking space. This was ridiculous.”

  • The views to were awesome, we very able to enjoy firework shows the nearby Symphony .
  • The room size was a little tight.

“We experienced a very enjoyable stay with appreciation for the beautiful art decor throughout the hotel.”

  • Price.

“Overall disappointed. Brand new Hilton but didn't look like it. Carpet was dirty and warn. Ton of staff standing around doing nothing. No cabs waiting had to wait for one to be called. Our room was dirty upon check in. We called front desk they said they would send someone with a key right up. Twenty minutes later we called and they said they were very busy and we should come down and get a new key. They should have suggested that in the beginning. Finally got our new room and everything was great.”

  • It was truly a great deal for a beautiful Hotel.
  • Lots of one way streets, near the hotel ,making it difficult to return to park.

“Great views of the harbor for a romantic stroll. You can walk to great restaurants and shopping.”

“Loved it!”

  • It had a nice view.
  • The decor was cold & uninviting.

“This was a nice hotel with a beautiful view of the San Diego bay. I thought the decor was cold and bland. It bugged me that I had to pay $21.00 to park my own car (or $31 for valet). The room was clean & comfortable.”

  • Great location to Gaslamp Quarter and Harbor.
  • Fee for parking.

“The hotel was new and attractively furnished. The proximity to shops and restaurants made it convenient besides having a lovely view of the harbor.”

  • Open, airy, attractive and interesting art designs, comfortable beds, easy walk to the convention center, Starbucks on premise.
  • The fee to use the workout facilities. The outdoor hot tube did not look clean, nor was it hot enough.

“Used this conference hotel as an alternative to the other conference hotels. Clean, attractive interior, very friendly staff, and easy walk to the Gaslamp area (about 3 minutes if you are in shape).”

  • Very attentive staff and hotel is impeccable.
  • The pool had particles at the bottom.

“I recommend this hotel to anyone. It is easily the nicest one I've seen in the San Diego downtown area.”

  • Brand new hotel (opened Dec 2008),modern public areas, directly overlooking water, convenient to downtown & tourist areas.
  • Since the hotel opened in Dec 2008, the staff is still in training; a little further from downtown than other major hotels.

“Pluses: Brand new hotel (opened Dec 2008) so glistening clean and still has that new building smell; very
modern public areas; directly overlooking water. Minuses: Since the hotel opened in Dec 2008, the staff is still in training; location is very convenient for driving to local tourist spots (Sea World, Balboa Park with museums & zoo) and is directly next door to the convention center for business travelers, but for walking relatively further from the Gaslamp district and Seaport district compared to other major hotels.”
