  previous guest's trash was left in our room.

“The staff was terrific, the bed was very comfortable and the room was clean for the most part, although after several days we found a previous guest's trash under the bed. The breakfast is very limited in selection, but the staff efficiently keeps things stocked and is friendly.”

• We had a wonderful weekend away from home that was very relaxing and beautiful.

“This hotel was wonderful right in the middle of the stockyards and so beautiful. The large flat screen TV in our room was so impressive. A marvelous place to stay!”

• People were friendly.

“The hotel staff tried to fix problems but it was not what we expected. We came in and the room wasn't clean properly. There was food in the refrigerator and the room had a odor. Then we went to eat dinner and came back and the door lock messed up and we were locked out of our room for almost an hour.”

• The staff was amazing and the decor was fun for my 9 year old.
• The breakfast was minimal, we expected at least a couple of hot items for the kids.

“This hotel was great for our kids! The staff was extremely helpful. The location was right in the middle of the stockyards which was great! The only complaint that I have, which isn't a big one, is that the continental breakfast was not enough for my family. My kids are used to a hot breakfast and the only thing hot was oatmeal, unless you wanted to pay for something else. We found a great breakfast for cheap at a place called the Swiss Bakery.”

• Easy check in.
• It looked like someone had been in the room before me.

“The room was an excellent value but it looked like someone had been in the room before me. The closet door was left partially open and the chair was pulled away from the desk. There was a stain on the sofa.”

  little difficult in locating, however, once we arrived, I realize that in was located in a unique historical area which is slated for growth.

“A good place to stay on business or pleasure. It is located in an old historical area of Fort Worth, Texas, known as the Stockyard. I recommend it.”

• Dirty, stained carpets in room and hall.

“Good staff, nice people, great, unique location, free parking. Nice combination of complimentary and paid breakfast items.
But carpets in room and hall filthy, though daily housekeeping does a good job. Looked like people have done a lot of partying and spilled stuff everywhere, though it was quiet on our Wednesday-Thursday night visit. This makes hotel seem much older than it probably really is. Hyatt badly needs to come down hard on the franchisee on these issues. It hurts their brand.”

• The lobby, cafe and bar location and atmosphere were good.
• Terrible food, poor service, disorganized staff and poor maid service.

“The hotel is short-staffed and relies on an inexperienced skeleton crew to run the facility - as a result, rooms weren't ready for check-in as late as 6pm. Sandwiches were stale, crust was moist with condensation. All of which were overpriced. Could be a true 3.5 star if it were vacuumed, organized and the food service was overhauled.”

• Very comfortable beds and large screen TV.
• Carpets dirty, staff not very helpful.

“I love Hyatt Place hotels. Therefore, was looking forward to this trip. However, this particular Hyatt Place did not even begin to meet my previous excellent experiences with Hyatt Place hotels. The carpets were very dirty and stained in the hallways and bedroom. You have to walk through the edge of the lobby to get to and from the pool. The staff was not very attentive. The decor was western (the hotel is in the stockyards but I still expected the modern decor of other Hyatt Places). One of the nights we were their the hotel was hosting a networking event with a local radio station and since the hotel is so small, the lobby was filled with people mingling. Had to squeeze through people to get to elevator, where I had to ask people to please move so I could get to the elevator. (Imagine squeezing through this crowd of business people coming back from swimming with my son. Again, have to access the lobby to get to the pool.) Will not stay at the Hyatt Place Stockyards again. Will stay at other Hyatt Places though.”

• Rooster and horses behind parking lot were cute.

“Way beyond expectations for a self serve concept - fun, beautiful, friendly and clean. Wish there was one in Beaumont, Texas - it would be full all the time!”

• Lovely, spacious room. Horses, roosters and hens out the window.
• Having to wait to check in. Woman on front desk had far too much to do.

“Beautiful hotel in the heart of the Fort Worth Stockyards. Our room had a separate seating area and small sink and fridge. Delightful free continental breakfast in the lobby.”

• The room felt like home!
• Never enough power outlets.

“The hotel is located right in the heart of the historic stockyards. Everything you would want is within walking distance. The rooms are very spacious and give you the feeling you are not in a hotel at all, but in your uptown apartment. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.”

“Staff was not nice. Only 4 TV channels were working. A worker knocked loudly at 8:00 am and woke us up, trying to put a new TV in the room. Was told there was only one smoking room and it was taken. Lawn mowing started way too early and disrupted my stay. Breakfast was over at 9:00 am.”

• It was under some remodeling.

“With the exception of the remodeling and the front desk clerk was somewhat robotic, overall I was extremely happy with the accommodations and amenities. Again the breakfast was superb!”

• The window to the room did not open all the way.

“It is very nice great for a couple it was my honeymoon. Me in my wife really enjoyed it. It is also in a great location with very nice places to eat and nice bars in walking distance. We will be going back very soon.”
