• Attractive rooms with comfortable bed and good amenities.

• Rooms were always clean and valet service was very good.
• Bathroom was too small. No free parking. Restaurant prices too high.

“Hotel Orrington is a wonderful place to stay for overnight, week, or just for fun. It is within walking distance from anything in Evanston and right across from the university. Great place over all.”

• Location.
• Paid parking is a real drag.

“Staff is friendly. Hotel is in convenient location. Parking should be included with the stay at the hotel given that the Orrington is expensive to begin with. Definitely would return regardless though the parking issue is a nuissance.”

• Outstanding and professional valet, bell & desk staff!
• Room was small, cramped and old.

“The entry was crowded with vehicles, making it difficult to park and register. The registration desk was on the lower level, dark entrance and flanked by restaurants. The elevator was small, accommodating about 4-5 people without luggage of any sort. The only saving grace is the staff! These folks were friendly, professional, and capitalized the word service to every letter. Otherwise, another chain or hotel like a Radisson, a Marriott or a Hyatt would prove a better value for the costs.”

• The location was fun and and liked the queen beds.
• Small bathroom.

“We really enjoyed downtown Evanston and the hotel was perfectly located. The workout room had a good variety of equipment. All the staff was very friendly. The Art Deco decor was fun and different from most hotels. The beds were comfortable. The hotel let us have a small refrigerator which was great for breakfast and leftovers. The valet parking was expensive, so we opted for public garages and meter parking. We would definitely go back.”

• Nice accommodations.
• Cheating hotel maid.

“Nice rooms, hotel in the center of town. The maid took several items from our minibar and had them charged to us. Otherwise, the staff seemed accommodating, but fairly unpleasant about it.”

• Different,"retro" decor.
• Valet parking and no hot tub.

“The retro decor was different, fun. The bathroom was tiny. It served our purpose nonetheless.”

• The rooms were very clean, the bed was very nice, I will stay again.
• I can think of nothing bad to say.

• Very clean, friendly staff and very accommodating.
• High price for parking, small bathrooms.

“This was a very nice hotel and very convenient. I wish I could have parked myself somewhere. Did not like paying $20.00 per day to park. Staff was very friendly and room was excellent. Bathroom had no counterspace at all.”

• Clean location.
• Parking was $20.

“Location to Northwestern was only 2 blocks. As this is a downtown city hotel there is no parking available for guests to park themselves. The upscale restaurant food was excellent. Café was not so good.”
