  • Comfortable bed, clean and well appointed room.
  • Far from the center, poor noise insulation (we could hear the people in the corridor and rooms around), unexpected 15$ resort fee.

“This is a resort, not an hotel. 15$ resort fee per day charged in extra to the room. Located far from the center of Napa, difficult to enjoy restaurants and activities without the car. Hotel restaurant serves quality food. Although the hotel is recent and well appointed, the walls don't seem to be well insulated for noise as we could hear people in the corridor and rooms around.”

  • Excellent service, knowledgeable concierge, perfectly kept amenities.
  • Shallow pool, I’ll equipped fitness center, that's all.

“Perfect hotel for those who want to be centrally located between Sonoma and Napa. The Concierge was both knowledgeable and experienced. He knew exactly where to and where not go. 5 minutes from downtown Napa with a free shuttle makes a safe enjoyable wine drinking night.”

  • Rooms were very comfortable, bed linens great.
  • Nothing I didn't like.

“This resort is part of Shell Vacations and it is possible that you could buy a timeshare or something similar. Timeshares do not interest my husband or myself but it is certainly a beautiful property.”

  • Pleasant wait staff in the restaurant for breakfast.
  • Staff was rude.

“This is definitely not our opinion of a 4 star hotel. It is a very average property. We were not told that this is a time-share property. I had directly called the hotel and requested for a king bed. Upon check-in we had two doubles. The negative attitude of the staff started there. They didn't have any kings available (understandable) but then they did for $50 more. The desk clerk was very rude. The room was identical except for the beds. There is a large parking lot project going on (understandable) but when I asked if they could give us a quiet room, they were not pleasant. The whole vibe of the experience was negative. This hotel is out of the way of everything. It's more of a conference hotel. Lots of noisy children at the pool.”

  • shuttle service was provided but no advance notice, so couldn't use it

“It was so big, it may be difficult for some to get back and forth to the lobby. But nice facility, and nice staff!”

  • Beds were comfortable.
  • Timeshare not a hotel, room much smaller than shown. 15 daily fee.

“It's a timeshare not a hotel, room received was much smaller than advertised and not presented that way, $15 resort charge daily for 2 bottles of water, and use of pool, its not a resort, no robes, no baggage assistance - we weren't even asked, no turn - down, etc. Restaurant was extremely slow waited 15 minutes once sat for server, constantly people walking around selling. Not a resort, cant walk around it's in a business park shouldn't be lumped in with the other 4 stars it is put with.”

  • Courteous and friendly staff in Siena Restaurant.
  • Check-in was terrible.

“Check-in with terrible, frustrating and disappointing. We walked away the first night upset, frustrated and terribly disappointed at the hotel. The second day my husband felt we were treated so unprofessional by the day manager that he returned to front desk and asked for assistant manager. This manager not only upgraded both rooms to what we believed we originally had but also gave both groups breakfast for 2 for the remaining 2 nights. His position was that if 1 of his employees told us we had king suite than that is what he should get. Furthermore, that he disagreed with the position his day manager took and apologized for the way she handled our reservations. I will be sending an email off to this assistant manager to express our gratitude for changing our opinion of this hotel's customer service. This was our third and last hotel on our trip to San Francisco and are happy we left happy and satisfied.”

  • Laundry facility in room, quiet.
  • $15 resort fee for what?

“Nice place, location could be better, rooms were nice, $15 resort fee should be included in the room rate. Not tacked on at the time of checkout. Don't waste your time with the timeshare presentation unless you have nothing better to do with 2 hours of your time. The free gifts were nice.”

  • Great restaurant and friendly staff.
  • Hotel reminded me of an apartment I lived in in the burbs.

“Hotel staff was great. The food from restaurant and room service was excellent. The cave was cool too. The hotel felt nice but reminded me to much of some apartments in Roseville. It had the look of an expensive resort from far but up close seemed cheap and poorly constructed. It is definitely not the Fairmont. The prefab no personality resort was not as nice as it seemed in the pictures. The pool was nice as well as the hot tub. The only problem with pools these days is that they only make them 4 feet deep. Takes a way all the joy of swimming. This pool was only 4.5 feet deep.”

  • I was upgraded to the hotels condo section and it was great.
  • Not much other development right around hotel.

“The hotel was very nice and upscale. The surrounding area was not developed yet so you need to drive to get to shopping and dining.”

  • Liked the colors of the room. The sunken bathtub was wonderful! Liked the complimentary drinks & wine.
  • The bath products weren't the most attractive/upscale. An amazing touch would be some bubble bath for that incredible bathtub.

“At check-in,
person was extremely upbeat, helpful and professional.”

  • Very high quality of interior decoration and excellent quality materials in rooms.
  • Very noisy appliances - intrusive and made it difficult to sleep.

“Very pleasantly surprised at quality of hotel available at this price through Priceline. American Bar Association meeting was being held there and corporate jets flew overhead to neighboring Napa airport - felt like I was rich during my stay there!”

  • Half of the room amenities were not there or did not work.

“Amenity fee of $15 per night per room.”

  • The room (actually a luxury condo) was absolutely the finest.
  • Resort fee of $15.

“This was not just a room - it was a beautiful, new condo with every amenity you could imagine including a beautiful bathroom, a balcony, completely equipped kitchen, fireplace, washer and dryer, etc. You could just live there in great comfort and luxury.”

  • Concierges were friendly and knowledgeable, facilities new and clean, room was generous size with kitchenette.
  • Room was part of a two room suite with common access, proximity to corporate park was okay for business, less for pleasure.

“Very attractive facility with only real draw back was location South of Napa in a corporate park. Some special offers were available as part of a vacation club preview, but we did not partake. For the price great value.”

  • Pool furniture and availability of umbrellas was excellent.
  • Stained linen, dirty dishes, disorganized front desk, poor housekeeping and poor service.

“While attempting to be an upscale resort, this property falls short in several ways. It is pleasant to look at but appearance does not mask the serious underlying problems. When we arrived at the first room we were assigned the counter and sink were full of dirty dishes, the bed was stripped of linen which was strewn across the floor. The second room appeared to have been cleaned but we found that many of the dishes were dirty, stained and cracked, the freshly laundered sheets had permanent stains. The use of space within the room was poor, like you were sleeping in the kitchen, and overall it was most unappealing and definitely not restful. Housekeeping service was not timely and took three calls and the room was not cleaned until 4:30 p.m. There are no towel racks nor soap dish in the bathroom and the room has no full-length mirror. The heater fan is very loud and the walls are so thin that we clearly heard everything going on in the adjacent rooms. We went there for a romantic getaway, and it fell very short of that goal, and certainly did not live up to the things you would normally expect from a 4-star resort.”

  • Clean and new - good bathroom.
  • Noisy and
    unfriendly, bad location.

“If you want a sterile facility with an ugly surrounding, this is the place for you. Our room was okay. It was clean and functional but no personality and in an industrial park. I would not go back.”

  • They had a lovely whirlpool bathtub in the room.

“The hotel was attractive and the personnel very attentive. However, the outdoor hot tub was not well-maintained and the spa closed early that night. The staff did send someone out right away to clean the hot tub, though, after we called in.”

  • The staff was very friendly and professional clean environment.
  • Room was noisy could hear the surrounding room activity.

“Very nice but the rooms were adjoining like a Condo and you could hear everything from doors shutting to phones ringing, didn't feel very private.”

  • Great ambiance in the hotel lobby. Loved the wine cave spa and the pools. Great location for the price.
  • There was nothing not to like about the hotel.

“We are very familiar with the Napa Valley and were pleasantly surprised with the ambiance of this hotel. The hotel is located at the southern end of the Valley but has easy access to all of the roads to the Napa and Sonoma wineries. The hotel had a quiet resort feel surrounded by a vineyard and wine cave.”
