• The location was great.
• Having to park 2 blocks away and pay to park.

“We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed it. We usually book through Priceline and get an ocean front room. However, this time we were told ocean front was a $20 extra charge. We got the room at such a good rate that the extra $20 was still worth it. WIFI is $10 per day. Parking is $9 per day and you have to park 2 blocks away.”

• Rooms were super comfortable and elegant.
• Parking was expensive.

“Excellent location and the rooms were clean, elegant and the view was amazing. Pool was small but the ocean is at your back door with a beautiful fountain and elegant staircases. Parking was expensive even for the lot across the street. Staff is super friendly and all were accommodating.”

• The staff was very friendly. Rooms and view were outstanding.
• Driveway for check in was very full. Not enough area to park & check in.

• Excellent facilities, room and staff.
• Excess charge for valet parking.

“Excellent room and view. The food was above average but the cost was a little steep. The front desk and all other hotel personnel were excellent and provided excellent service. Beach and pool facilities were great and well taken care of.”

• Location to the beach.
• Stairways smelled a little.

“Excellent hotel for the money paid via Priceline. Clean rooms, upscale, everything was clean and well stocked (towels, coffee). The access to a valet parked car was a little cumbersome, you had to get (and tip) a valet to get stuff out of your car. The self park option was not free ($9) and was across the street and behind a restaurant.”

• It was on the beach. It had a beautiful entrance and lobby.
• Room was slightly smaller than I had anticipated since it was oceanview.

“The first room we entered was not facing the ocean so I called the front desk and found a room that was. But the oceanfront room was smaller than the first one. So I was slightly disappointed, but I got what I wanted, a view which was beautiful. The hotel was very accomadating. Overall this was a beautiful hotel. We enjoyed our stay.”

• Staffing seems a little low. Vending machines were unserviced, parking is an added expense.

• Convenient location for beach walks, pool dips, fun activities nearby for kids.
• The indoor hottub was out of order.

“The Hilton is in a great location, has a very friendly staff, clean rooms, and wonderful beach side view. The beach in Daytona in the cleanest in North Florida. They even had fireworks about 10pm very close.”

• Easy beach access.
• Check in delay.

“The hotel was fabulous once I made it through the second check in line which I stood in for over 30 minutes to be told at 5:30 pm that my room still was not ready and room service knocked on the door at 9:00 am to see if I was ready for the 11:00 am check out.”

• The location is spot on!
• The pool is tiny ,and too crowded.

“The location is excellent, and within walking distance to shopping and activities. The Pools are a huge disappointment not only were their no chairs or tables the pool was tiny. The dining was OK nothing to write home about, very expensive. Hyde Park steak house was not what it touted itself to be. The waiter was slow and short,( with service not stature ) catering to a wine tasting table. The seafood buffet was Good, but very over priced. Overall the experience was good and what expected for the area and star level.”

• Short staff, line to the door just to check in, at least a 20 minute wait.

“Waited at least 20 minutes just to check in. Due to poor staffing had to use the luggage cart ourselves to take our luggage up.”
