• Convenient location.
• Front desk failed to mention charge for parking.

“The bed was comfortable, the room was fairly clean. Was disappointed to find (the next day) that my credit card had been charged for parking when no indication of that charge was given up front.”

• This was exceptional hotel

“This is a gem of a hotel...beautiful new hotel in Coralville (suburb of Iowa City). Scenic setting and lovely rooms, amenities. Beautiful wood paneled library featuring Iowa authors are proudly displayed and perfect for small mtgs/quiet reflections with fireplace and sofas. Free parking in adjacent parking garage. This hotel is so convenient to Iowa City/University/major highways. Staff professional and friendly....felt like I was in major city.”

• We had to pay $8 per day for parking!

“We have stayed at Marriott before but this one was exceptionally nice. The rooms were updated and very clean. Nice flat screen TV and very comfortable beds. The bathroom was very clean and spacious.”

• Charged for parking.

“Newer hotel with very attractive rooms. The view out the back was beautiful with a lagoon right off the river with a brick courtyard. Our room was across from the ice machine, which people insisted on using with the door open, which was loud. There is a door on the ice room for a reason people. I still can't believe that they charge for parking at this hotel. This is Iowa!”

“I was surprised by the $8.00 per day charge for parking. I know taxes are always going to be an additionally part of a bill. However, I didn't appreciate not knowing about this charge. I don't know if this is an industry standard for the better motels.”

• The beds! Like sleeping on clouds!
• Pay for parking.

“This place was just beautiful. So clean it looked like it had opened yesterday. The decor was spectacular and the rooms beautiful and comfortable. I could not get over how comfortable the beds were. Down pillows and down comforter, too. All staff I spoke to were very nice. I am anxious to return.”

• Cleanliness and bed comfort.
• Woman at check-in desk looked at me top to bottom without discretion. I was wearing jeans, but otherwise not disheveled or sloppy.

“Pros:Clean room, comfortable inviting bed with amazing pillows. Better than average bathroom products. Cons:Since hotel has undeveloped surroundings, parking should be free. Woman next to gentleman checking us in should be trained a bit longer.”

• Beautiful decor, clean.
• We couldn't adjust thermostat properly - too hot all night.

“The hotel was unexpectedly beautiful with Midwest theme of decorating. Beautiful patio - I will come back in warm weather to sun on the patio. Very nice linens, comfortable beds, but we couldn't adjust the temp in the room and we all roasted. Next time I will get the engineer, but it was too late and we were all trying so hard to sleep. All the help in the hotel were very nice.”

• Beautiful rooms; Incredibly comfortable bed!
• Must pay for parking.

“Absolutely gorgeous rooms. Softest sheets I've ever slept in! Very nice, very large pool - open until 11 pm. The only complaint is that you have to pay $8 for parking/day - and, due to its location there really isn't another option. Lovely riverwalk view!”

• Concierge breakfast was too short, happy hour not worth it, $8 a day added for parking.

“This was a beautiful hotel. It looked newly opened. The bed was very comfortable and the room had nice amenities for both personal and business travelers. The parking lot was not attached and it makes for an uncomfortable walk especially late at night or in inclement weather. There is also a daily $8 fee to park, self-serve.”
