“This is a nice hotel with a friendly staff. I expected a little more considering it's a Renaissance, however it is a 3 1/2 star and that's pretty much what you can expect.”

“We parked in a parking garage practically across the street from the hotel - although we could have let the valet do it for us. We were immediately upgraded to a suite. The room was so big it even had two bathrooms; we didn't know what to do with all the space! WiFi was free. We went to the basement level for the pool and found it had a large pool, two spas, an exercise room, a sauna, a dry sauna, a steam room, an inhalation room, and tons of other stuff, all empty! All to ourselves! What a hotel!”

“I really liked this hotel. My view was great (I requested an upper level room). The beds were fantastic. I am not a fan of hard beds and these were great. Very close to Court Ave where there are a lot of bars and restaurants. Parking was a little expensive but if you could get a spot on the street, it was free on the weekends. The lounge was very cozy and the bartenders were very personable. I would recommend this hotel.”

“Nicely appointed historic building. The non-smoking King was comfortable, bed excellent in firmness. Quiet within and no outside noise apparent. Staff friendly, helpful, and efficient.Very cheap municipal parking ramp adjacent for 3.75 per night.”

“We loved staying in this hotel. It was very convenient to where we needed to be. Our biggest complaint was that the room only had double beds. Plus when we called about our air conditioning the engineer came right away and told us that this room's air never worked well.

“We enjoyed staying at this hotel because the rooms are nice and the staff is friendly. The room service staff were nice when they brought us breakfast , but I have to say that the pancakes were just awful. We ordered the banana pancakes and the blueberry pancakes and both were yucky. The dough tasted bad and was raw in the middle. My granddaughter and I could not eat them at all.”

“It was an older / historic hotel that has been remodeled in a very attractive way. The room was excellent, very clean and had two baths.”

“Location is great. Lobby is attractive and welcoming. Floors feel uneven to walk on but are covered by newer carpets. Historic update formed 2 full bathrooms in room barely big enough to turn around in. Updated carpets and furnishings without structural upgrades (wall & ceiling board, floors, doors, etc.) make it feel like a cosmetic only face lift. Hot water did not work in the room at 6-8 am. Front desk said there was an issue (hotel wide) and they were working on it but offered no alternative. Went to appointment without shower.”

“I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into the hotel. On the outside it looked older but when we arrived inside you could tell it was recently renovated. The rooms were huge, and I liked the King room with 2 pull out love seats, walk in closet and dressing area separate from the bathroom. The only issue we had was the heat would not turn off. We had it set on 55 and it was still like an oven in there. Same with our friends who stayed on the same floor, a few rooms away. Still I would go back in a heart beat.”

“I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the savory. The desk clerk went above and beyond by granting my request for an early check in. I called at 7:30am and was allowed to check in at 11. Her flexiblity was greatly appreciated.”

“I have stayed at the Savery before and I always enjoy my stay. It was really noisy in the early morning hours because there were a lot of kids at the hotel for the wrestling tournaments. In some rooms there were 10/15 people and they sat in groups on the floor in the hallways in the early morning hours but they were having fun! I rated the hallways and lobby a 6 for this reason. Both are usually very clean. A microwave and small refrigerator for beverages would have been nice in the room where I stayed.”

“The lobby, common areas and rooms are beautiful. Our room was very quiet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The shower was great. Not a lot of countertop in the bathroom. The service was great and room service was fantastic.” Hotel Representatives:
