• The rooms
  were very modern, clean and trendy. Luxurious!
• The AC unit in my room was rusty. It worked, but looked bad.

• Complimentary breakfast was perfect for tourists.

“Location was perfect for travel around downtown area. Complimentary breakfast was awesome! It was wonderful stay in Exchange Hotel. I would definitely stay this hotel again!”

• Great staff. Large, well appointed room. Very clean.

“Although the hotel is an older establishment, the build condition is very well kept and all if the infrastructure in great condition. The room was located on the top floor and was spacious with stuffed chair and couch. Large new tech TV. Comfortable bed.”

• Lovely decorations.
• Staff was
  not terribly knowledgeable/helpful.

“It was beautifully decorated and comfortable. I wish we'd had more time to enjoy it. It's not really in the middle of town and it was very hard to find food when we returned around 10:00 pm. The staff did not know when their own bar closed, nor could they recommend anywhere to eat.”

• Great room furnishings. Could reserve a room with 2 queen beds.
• Bed was slightly firmer than I prefer - a minor point.

• The room was enormous!
• Nothing.

“I spend a good bit of time in NYC and my room at The Exchange was by far the best I've had anywhere. It was HUGE by any standard, let alone for New York. The furnishings were gorgeous and it was spotless. The location is great close to the South Street Seaport and other lower Manhattan attractions. The neighborhood is quiet on weekends and in the evening but is very safe. Subway is close, and there are many restaurants and food stores in the area (a plus, since the rooms come equipped with a refrigerator and microwave). The bar was lovely with great happy hour specials. The staff was so helpful and friendly. I would have been happy with this hotel at double the price!”

• Stylish room environment, very quiet location.
• Room key was made inoperative prior to checkout time.

“Small, neat contemporary hotel in convenient Wall street location. Very quiet location after 6 pm. Great waking access to popular Seaport historic area. Huge, walk-in clothes closet. Very comfortable platform-style bed.”

• Well located for my purposes.
• Very uncomfortable platform bed, too firm.

“This hotel has an IKEA feel to the furnishings. Black and chrome. Sleek looking but the bed was a platform bed and was too firm for comfort. Complimentary breakfast was an unexpected bonus.”

• Great location for Lower Manhattan sights. Clean. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice to have computer in lobby. Delicious pastries and fruit.
• Can't think of anything we didn't like.

“We enjoyed our stay at the hotel for its location, price, cleanliness, and friendly staff. We had never spent more than half a day in Lower Manhattan before, so it was great to become acquainted with this part of NYC.”
