• Short fill on the Starbucks coffee.

“Wonderful hotel that is relatively close to the Subway. Good central location. Every staff member that we encountered was helpful and had a great attitude. I would not hesitate to re-visit this property.”

• The staff was FABULOUS! I have not had better, nicer service at any hotel, even 5 star facilities.
• Rooms were small - but it's NYC! How much time to you need to spend in your room?

“Everyone at the hotel, from the desk clerks, concierge, housekeepers, restaurant workers and room service were absolutely as nice as could be! They all acted like it was their mission to make sure we were served to the max! At one point, when we went out for a walk one evening and rain was threatening, the doorman chased us down the street with a big umbrella to use! Can't brag enough about how wonderful they were.”

• Super friendly staff and very comfortable bed!
• Had some safety concerns due to empty storefronts and construction scaffolding.

“Once you enter the hotel, you're in for a lovely experience. From start to finish, all staff that I encountered were friendly and exceedingly helpful. Love the room decor and was so pleased to have such a comfortable bed. Also, really like the complimentary toiletries.”

• Convenient location, nice showers.
• Smallest hotel room in my experience.

“The location was very good for my purpose. The room was very small, 12 inches on each side of the bed, no drawers, a very small closet. Almost no floor space. The bathroom was comfortable and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. Pretty efficient air-con but noisy.”

“I would recommend this hotel. The hotel was clean. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. The restaurant was good and reasonable prices. The surrounding neighborhood is not the safest late at night.”

• Their hotel guide of services was not correct

“I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The concierge service was very helpful in finding my way around the city. The rooms were very nicely appointed, clean and well maintained. The only area I found any fault in was the hotel service guide. The information listed regarding room service was not accurate nor was the information regarding the location of ice machines.”

• New, off the beaten path but still central enough.
• Seems to the only hospitality business in the close vicinity.

“New, clean, modern design. Situated on W 36th between 9th and 8th, not much going on in the close vicinity, that is a plus and a minus. Plus, as it is quiet and you are not stepping out into traffic on the minus side may feel slightly unsafe at night.Overall, good location and very good value for the money.”

• New and clean. Very friendly employees.
• Room was not ready at check-in.

“I wasn't pleased to find out that the room wasn't ready, even after check-in time. The front desk woman didn't really seem to care. Just said that they were sold out the night before, so rooms weren't finished being cleaned on time. I gave her my number and told her to call me when the room was ready, as we had theater tickets that night. She never called. When I went back an hour later, there was a different person there, and he left us check in immediately.”

• Very clean rooms, duvets rather than comforters, and
  nice bathroom.
• Restaurant & bar were expensive, small rooms.

“Friendly, accommodating staff. Allowed us to drop our bags off 12 hours before our check-in time. Opened wine we brought to the hotel at the bar and gave us wine glasses to use in our room. We loved having a mini-fridge in the room. The outdoor patio area was pleasant and quiet for enjoying a drink, though the prices for the restaurant and bar were on the high side. It was nice to have free internet access in the lobby (though only one computer was functioning at the time).”

• The room was very up to date and the shower was wonderful!
• Rooms are small.

“Very pleasant experience. Our room had a southern view which was nice. Bed was very comfortable and room was well appointed. Small in size but we were only there in the late evenings and then off to enjoy NYC in the morning.”
