• Great front desk staff at check in.

“Enjoyed stay. Very clean and the floor we were on was quite. Changed room to King with an issue. Will stay there again.”

• Stayed in a smoking room on the smoking floor and we are not smokers.

• It was across the street from Barnes & Noble!
• Housekeeping removed my used towels from the tub and placed the pile on top of the clean ones...and left them!

“Staff was friendly, but I wasn't pleased that they put my daughter and me (both asthmatic) in a smoking room, saying they'd spray room deodorizer in it to "get rid of the smell." Housekeeping was poor. Cleaned half the room and left one bed unmade. Left the pile of used towels on top of the clean ones, didn't clean the sink or replenish toiletries. Decent restaurant and bar.”

• Room was not as large as expected. No breakfast buffet.

• Better location than I expected.

“8 miles away from downtown but good location. There are shopping malls just around the corner so good for shopping. But traffic condition is not good for car driver to come to downtown.”

• The bed was very comfortable.
• The TV cabinet, the doors didn't fold back so one was hanging out in the middle of the walkway.

“We enjoyed our stay. The room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I think it could have been a little cleaner, but that's my opinion of most hotels these days.”

• It was close to shopping and restaurants.
• An older building that had a makeover.

“The hotel was a little difficult to find. Its not convenient to downtown, 25 minutes or more. Also it was easy to hear other people in neighboring rooms. Luckily, everyone went to bed at an early hour. Lots of parking available. Overall, a nice place.”

• The beds were very, very comfortable! Got a good night's sleep!
• Traveling with a younger child, it would help to have a refrigerator in the room.

“Great location with other restaurants very close. Also a great mall across the street. Ample parking. Was a bit noisy on Saturday night because of a wedding party. However, the great mattresses made up for that!”

• Very noisy air conditioner and too far away from downtown Pittsburgh.

• Located near stores, restaurants, staff friendly and helpful.
• Toiletries basket in bathroom was covered in mold/mildew - couldn't imagine how housekeeping staff didn't notice this!

“We liked the hotel very much but feel that there should be some rooms available that don't have scent/deodorizer used since many people are sensitive to these products. Crowne Plaza is big on scenting sheets, etc.”

“We used for transporting our freshmen to the university of Pittsburgh, was good in the fact no crowds and a lot less than the hotels near the university. the room was very clean and very easy to get to the university and staff was very helpful and good with directions.”

• I liked that it was very clean and upscale. Very classy!
• We had a smoking room, when we thought we would have a non-smoking room.

“The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were friendly. Lobby was very pretty and I loved the classical music that was playing. Room and bathroom was very nicely furnished and clean. We would definitely stay here again!”

• Very accommodating front desk stuff.
• No dark curtains in the room, it was too light to sleep.

“The hotel is easy to find and conveniently located across the street from a mall, movie theater and some restaurants. It's rather far from Downtown and with Pittsburgh traffic it would probably take you a while to get there, but it was close enough to my destination. Non-smoking room for me which was clean and nice, other than it was very light in the room (no dark curtains and mall lights from across the room). Obviously, the hotel is aware of this as they give you a very nice sleep kit (eye mask, ear plug and lavender mist) as well as a relaxation CD (but it might not work for some people as it didn't for me). Overall it was a nice experience, and I would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for business travelers.”
