  • The balcony's in each room. The hotel was quiet.
  • I would have preferred a hotel closer to downtown with more choices of restaurants.

“The hotel was very clean and quiet. Desk service was very good and access to computers was excellent. The restaurant was average. Service could have been better and I noticed that silverware was set on the tables and after the customer left, any silverware that looked like it was not used was left on the table for the next customer. I think that all utensils should be removed from the table after someone has eaten there.”

  • Over all very nice
  • The bathroom lacked a fan. The thermostat was hard to figure out and set. Lacked a frig. A computer keyboard had keys that sticked.

“Very nice and clean. Very attractive. Good location to bus stop. Close to grocery story.”

  • Contemporary room layout and design.
  • Parking prices not included and expensive .

“Most of the Hotel Staff were very friendly, the woman at the counter for check-in was not very friendly. You could hear some noise through the walls from the next room, for instance the blow dryer. But, the rooms were decorated nicely. The front Lobby was not very impressive compared to the pictures online. However, the rest of the hotel was very clean. Security was great, keys needed for elevators.”

  • I like the room and the televising set.
  • The room was suppose to be non-smoking, but we had to be moved because it smelled like someone had smoked in the room.

“Overall, I was pleased with the location except for the noise from the freeway. In addition the first room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The hotel did honor my request to be moved.”

  • The rooms were beautiful. The location was close to the expressway and also close to downtown.
  • I have nothing that I didn't like about it.

“Excellent Hotel.”

  • Location is everything in Chicago, you have to pay for parking, but public transportation is a plus.

“Please pay the money to park in hotel lot as oppose to parking on street. It’s worth not being bothered with checking your car to see if its still there.”

  • Neighborhood - stores and restaurants, proximity to sights.
  • Next to the freeway but windows kept out noise.

“This hotel is in a great area in Greek town, next to a supermarket and Walgreen's, and near some excellent restaurants, bars and cafes. It's within walking distance of Sears tower, State Street shopping, and Blue Line train. Only downside is possible noise from the freeway but glass doors kept noise out well.”

  • They gave us a free upgrade, and balcony door actually worked.
  • Not close to the el for transportation downtown.

“Very friendly staff, not convenient at all to get the red/blue lines, to Wrigley field or Michigan Avenue.”

  • Clean, comfortable and great location. Good price too.
  • Valet parking was mandatory that evening and they did not tell us that we had to pay an extra charge for that.

“Good experience, a little pricey but well located. Worth the money.”

Cleanliness:[9] • Staff:[7] • Location:[8]

  • It was close to most of the things we wanted to see.
  • It did not have a swimming pool, which is something we were looking forward to.

“The hotel was very nice and clean but we were wanting to swim with our children and we had to go two blocks away in order to swim. It was close to the other things in town that we were looking to do.”

  • It served our purpose - that's all.
  • Location not convenient for our needs.

“The hotel was fine but it was in a different part of town that we were not used to. The ELL was not close enough to take to other areas we wanted to go to. Consequently, we had to take taxis = more expense.”

  • Maid service was very good.
  • The dining hall was very expensive.

“The hotel was west of the loop in Chicago and was the only hotel on the block. Public transportation was on the corner so we could go wherever we wanted! The Concierge was not very helpful.”

  • It was clean and looked very nice.
  • They charged 35 dollars a night for parking!

“Wonderful hotel. Bad parking- expensive valet parking only. I witnessed a valet driver hit a guest's car and not do anything about it.”

  • Dishonest employees.

“Parking attendants played ball and dented my car. I will not stay there again.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[10] • Location:[9]

  • The staff went out of their way to make things right and comfortable.
  • We had a late check-in - 1AM, and although we called early, our room was not ready when we arrived.

“Location was great. Excellent view of the city. Unfortunately when we arrived at 1:05 AM we were forced to sit in the lobby for a half hour after an 8 hour drive. Parking is a major issue, be prepared to valet, as there is no other real choice. I would not have complained at all, but we had a carload of luggage and they were unable to provide more than one cart. Valet and bag check were less than helpful. The manager was pleasant and made good with regular updates and getting us into our room as soon as possible, and well as helping secure a 2nd luggage cart personally from elsewhere in the hotel. He was nice enough to comp our breakfast at Dine at Chicago Metro- the restaurant. The Brunch was amazing- and the service was excellent. I'll definitely make it a point to recommend the restaurant to friends and stop there myself next time I'm in Chicago. Overall, nice, comfortable stay other than the initial snafu.”

  • The modern decor.
  • Didn't have an on-site pool.

“Excellent hotel for the price! The bed was cozy and the bedding was top notch. Very modern look and friendly staff.”

Cleanliness:[8] • Staff:[8] • Location:[8]

  • Close to Downtown, very nice looking room.
  • Again the bed and pillows were like rocks. We had to pay $35 to park our car.

“Nice hotel, nice location. Expect to pay extra for parking.”

Cleanliness:[10] • Staff:[10] • Location:[10]

  • The staff was very good.
  • $ 35.00 daily parking fee. Smallest room I have ever stayed in.

“Not worth the money. I was able to see what other people got for their money at the national restaurant meeting and I felt like you got the worst room for the rate. Used your service many times. This time might be the last.”
