• The balcony.
• The indoor pool was closed due to construction maintenance.

“Overall it was very nice.we chose this hotel for the indoor pool. upon checking in we learned that the pool was closed.we chose this hotel because it had an indoor pool,incase of rain,which we had our entire stay.had we been informed about the pool we may have made other plans.rain and fog the whole trip, not happy about the pool being closed we were counting on it.”

• Saltwater chlorine in pool is fantastic alternative. Plus fish!

“We have stayed at this hotel 5 times through Priceline and every time it has been great. Fish for rent, a good pool, and nice rooms. Good shower, etc. All around a very positive experience every time.”

• No hair conditioner in bathroom.

“Staff there when I checked in was very helpful and friendly. Jacuzzi tub in room was an unexpected surprise and very appreciated. We enjoyed our stay here.”

“This is Asheville's best kept secret. It is convenient to all area attractions. The hotel is only 2 years old and is in immaculate condition. Best value for the money. You will not be disappointed.”

“We knew when we first arrived that we had selected a good hotel. It was attractive and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful with giving directions. We were glad we chose a suite with a living area plus bedroom. It was nice having a flat screen T.V. in both rooms.”

• Convenience, and amenities.

“The Holiday Inn in Asheville on Tunnel Road exceeded all our expectations. The beds were incredibly fantastic, and we enjoyed the windows that opened to let in the mountain air as we relaxed while watching the big screen. Even the shampoo had a wonderful minty aroma.”

• New facility close to several eating facilities.
• Noisey, little sound insulation if any. Distracting from other features.

“Attractive. Location is good for closeness to down town and for eating out. Staff is friendly and helpful. Due to noise from tenants above our room, we were forced to move to another room. Most inconvenient. Second room had a smoke smell (although this is supposed to be a smoke-free motel) and stained easy chair. News paper not delivered to door each day. Noise from tenants and slamming doors in the hallway make this a hotel that we will avoid on our next visit to Asheville.”

• Pool area needs upgrades.

“Hotel was clean, convenient and we had a good stay. No complaints about room or staff. Wish the pool area was a little better maintained but a great value for the money. Would stay again.”

“We were looking for a place to sleep, close to the center of Asheville, which was relatively quiet, comfortable, and inexpensive. The Holiday Inn was excellent in these respects.”

• Very clean and comfortable.
• They had fish for rent - I found this not only tacky but cruel to the fish.

“Overall a great hotel, very short drive to downtown, new, clean and attractive rooms. I was disappointed that noise from hallways was loud enough to wake me up - I could even hear the neighbors door opening and closing. But walls between rooms seem relatively sound proof.
