• The receptionist was very friendly and helpful.
• Everything. We asked about the fitness room and we were told it was under construction. The swimming pool was full of insects and didn't look as if it had been cleaned all summer.

“I wouldn't advise anyone to stay in this hotel. It was definitely not a 4 star hotel, in fact I would give it a rating of 0 star. This hotel was absolutely filthy and a dreadful smell permeated throughout the whole hotel at all times. In fact our rep came to see us and we invited him up to our apartment and the first thing he said was you definitely cannot stay here for 2 weeks and within the hour we were moved to the Bella Vista hotel which is a genuine 4 star hotel. So please for your own sake and sanity definitely do not stay at the Mediterranea Hotel in St Paul's Bay - the only good thing about it was the tremendous view from our rather filthy window. This was an experience never to be repeated and definitely one to forget.”

“This is not a four star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. The furniture in the rooms is old and shabby, the shower full of mildew, there is often no hot water, the breakfast is made from the cheapest possible ingredients and nothing works well. The staff is friendly and the location is nice, but we ended up trying to spend as much time as possible away from the hotel because we found it uncomfortable and unclean. ”
