“We liked the location as we could easily walk to our daytime business with the Mason School. This is a very good B&B. It is attractively furnished, clean, no mold or mildew smell and the morning breakfast service is great. If you like B&B's you will love this one. If you want a TV in your room, a king size bed or an on site bar or restaurant you should probably go to a hotel instead.”

“Beautiful building and the decor of the room was also great. Room was very neat, clean and well maintained. Breakfasts were excellent and the host/staff were friendly and helpful. Great location within walking distance to Colonial Williamsburg and only 5 miles from Busch Gardens. Located in a great neighborhood by William and Mary college. Would stay there again!”

“Great location - central to many areas of interest within Williamsburg. Charming in appearance, character, and overall atmosphere. Very nice decor in relation to period pieces and color choices. Room was perfect size for our family of three, although the bathroom was a tight squeeze. Canopy bed is beautiful, but the height poses a definite challenge for the shorter population. The staff was very people-oriented and accommodating of requests. Breakfasts in the Sunroom were enjoyable.”

“The location was great, the staff was friendly and it was extremely clean. Our bed was uncomfortable and the room was hot. The food was good, but average compared to other B&Bs. Overall, I would stay there again, mostly because of fabulous location!”

“We really loved the Cedars! It was a beautiful place, both inside and out! Our room was lovely, beautifully decorated, clean, and spacious enough for 3 of us. The location was perfect, just down the street from the main Williamsburg area. The food was delicious and you could either keep to yourself at an individual table or join in a conversation with anyone in the dining room. And we especially enjoyed the hosts, It was a really special stay, and we'd recommend it to anyone who is looking for a bed & breakfast in Williamsburg.”

“The staff at the cedars was wonderful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Bob was a delight while making the reservation, warning me that since George Washington ground his teeth, there might be splinters on our pillow. Breakfast was scrumptious, and the wine provided with our package was very good. We would definitely stay at the cedars on a return trip to Williamsburg.”

“My boyfriend and I immediately felt at home at the cedars from the time the owners opened the door. The house was beautifully decorated, inside and out, and every room smelled delicious. The owners offered to help with dinner reservations and suggested several places we could visit within walking distance. (It was only a short walk to merchant's square). We stayed in the Christopher wren room on the top floor. A huge, comfortable bed topped with tons of gorgeous pillows was the centerpiece of the room. There were two closets with shelves and hangers--plenty of space to put away all our clothes. Antique-looking furniture and colonial pictures and decorations adorned the room. A window seat overlooking the gazebo in the backyard was a nice touch as well. We had our own private bathroom with full-sized tub/shower, stand-alone sink and toilet, as well as a makeup table by the window overlooking the front yard. In the morning, we joined other guests for a hot breakfast. Each couple had their own table, which was nice, since many bibs ask you to sit with other guests at a large table. The owners took our picture at the table (which was later printed out for us and also printed on the cover of a cedars brochure for us to take home as a souvenir). Since it was my birthday weekend, the owners led the guests in a (albeit sleepy) rendition of "happy birthday" as I blew out the candle in a breakfast muffin. All in all, it was a wonderful weekend at a fantastic bib. I will definitely be recommending it to my friends and family and will certainly be back again myself.”

“What a wonderful experience. Bob and grace made our visit very pleasurable and relaxing. The house is gorgeous and each room is unique and really captures the spirit of colonial Williamsburg. The location is within walking distance to historical Williamsburg. When walking around the area we felt very safe. Great experience! Will (and already have) recommend to everyone for a romantic get-a-way!” Hotel Representatives:
