“We always stay here on the holidays when we visit family. We love the new LCD TVs and the pool and the layout/location of our room. The breakfast buffet is also very good and the breakfast staff (servers and cooks) are all excellent. I thought the front desk girls could have been more friendly and helpful. They could use an attitude adjustment. Overall the stay was excellent and we plan on returning for Christmas.”

“Although the room was very pretty, the bed made our experience an uncomfortable one. We do not understand why a room can look so nice, yet the bed is like sleeping on a concrete slab. Hotels should spend more money on the comfort of their beds and less on the aesthetic of the rooms. Also this hotels room’s walls were quite thin as we heard the children next door going about the usual kid things very early in the morning. Better insulation/sound proofing would benefit those of us who went to a hotel for peace and quiet away from the children.”

“This, like all Marriott Courtyards, is a clean, updated place to stay. There are no signs of dirt, or wear and tear anywhere. The carpet is clean. The bathrooms look new. The decor is updated. There are no surprises. It is like all Marriott Courtyard Hotels, a clean, safe, nice place to stay.”

“A fabulous hotel with great room with a 32" LCD TV, very nice indoor pool, hot tub, exercise room. Outside grounds were perfect with flowers and meticulous landscaping.”

“They did not clean the garbage in the previous day. It seems it was by mistake. I have informed the front desk and they apologized for that.”

“Extremely comfortable, but annoying not to get anything for breakfast. Geared to business expense accounts in that respect.”

“Every other time we have stayed at this hotel we were given our room preference. Instead, we were given a room with a king size bed and a pullout couch. Secondly, we had a late check in and went to put our two tired young children to bed and discovered that the pullout couch bed was a bare mattress. We had to request that sheets be sent up. The first time they forgot the fitted sheets and we had to request those and they never brought up the extra covers we also requested. We had to go down to the desk and request them in person. We have stayed at this hotel many times since we have family in the area, but we may have to find a new place to stay in the future if this is the type of service we are going to receive.”

“For pleasant, clean accommodations in a quiet, yet accessible location, this hotel is a good value. The staff and amenities are also fine. While not specifically romantic, it serves for a weekend getaway with one's spouse.”

“The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the internet connection worked well. However, the restaurant has a habit of closing in the evenings without prior announcement and the staff was somewhat surly or perhaps that's just because I visited the week of Thanksgiving. I'd definitely stay here again.”

“This hotel was excellent. Very clean and comfortable rooms. Great amenities. Perfect for business or family travel. Convenient and tasty restaurant, pool, hot tub, gym. I have stayed at courtyards elsewhere and they stay true to the chain. I definitely will return.”

“The staff instantly pre-judged us by our appearance; it was very evident on their faces as they looked us up and down. When they noticed how we paid for the room, that judgment went even further in their demeanor and quickness to get us out of the lobby. The expression on their faces was priceless but their attitudes were very un-professional.”

“The Basking Ridge Courtyard by Marriott is located conveniently to Rt. 78, the staff is helpful and courteous, the breakfast buffet is extensive, and the pool, spa, and on-site fitness center were clean and well-equipped. The room seemed a bit on the small size for two leisure travelers with plenty of luggage; would be OK for a single business traveler.”

“My stay was nice and sweet. They were very accommodating, and helpful with anything you needed. The grounds are pretty, and it's small and personal. It's perfect for a business traveler or even families, groups, or just a quick weekend getaway. I would recommend it to anyone. It was very clean, and the pool (though indoor) was great.”

“As a business traveler, this hotel experience was well above par, and I will continue to stay at a Marriot hotel whenever I travel on business which is all the time.” Amenities at Courtyard by Marriott Basking Ridge, Basking Ridge
