• The location to the Rhode Island university was excellent, great Italian restaurant on site.
• Met all our needs.

“The hotel is clean, the rooms were fairly large, staff was helpful and friendly and the location is excellent with easy access to the highway and to the University of Rhode Island. The Italian restaurant they have on site was convenient and the food was excellent.”

• The staff was very pleasant.
• The roll away bed was very uncomfortable. It was left in the middle of the room folded up. I had to move the bed to make a place for the cot.

• The staff was friendly, even when we checked in at almost 1 am.
• It was further from our destination of Newport, RI than we expected.

“The hotel staff was friendly and happy to upgrade us from double beds to a king. We were pleased to discover that the hotel offered free wireless service and the single-serve coffee maker made decent coffee. I would definitely stay here again for the price.”

• The pool and restaurant were great.
• The staff treated us bad.

“The hotel was great in everyway except for the staff. They looked down on us and talked to each other thinking we did not understand English (we were traveling with family from Spain). The woman manager said to the other person: I am going to give them smoking rooms. I do not like to argue and I wanted to check the rooms before I said anything. The rooms had some smoking odor but we opened the windows and could get most of it out. Otherwise they were perfect and that's why I did not complained there.”

• Toilet never worked in 2 days, flushed with bucket of water.

“It was acceptable for the price. I question how well it was cleaned as I found a pair of shoes under the bed, god knows how long its been there.”

• Incompetence of staff.

“I called to say we would be a day late on our arrival, and to verify a double room. When we got to the hotel, we were given a king room. We complained, and they gave us a double for the first night, but were going to need to move us for the 2nd night. We agreed to that. Once we left the desk though, we decided that was way too much work as we planned to leave the hotel early the next morning, and didn't want to deal with storing all our luggage in the car until the next night when we came back. My husband went back to the desk to tell them we would take the king for both nights. At that point, he spoke with a manager who was able to give us a queen room with a fold out sofa. So - after quite a bit of aggravation, we were given a room that met our needs. Other than that, the hotel was clean, the room was roomy and the bedding comfy. Would stay there again.”

• It was a clean nice room.
• It seemed a little dated.

“We enjoyed our stay very much. They allowed us to check in early which was nice. Our room was clean and the hotel was nice and quiet. The beds were not as comfy as sleeping at home but that's to be expected. The restaurant Lilianas had exceptional food and service. We will be returning.”

• Front desk staff extremely friendly.
• Restaurant too pricey for what it is. Bathroom very small.

“Great hotel room. Bathrooms very small. High point is the hotel staff, particularly front desk. Restaurant has good food but not for the prices.”

“The hotel seemed to be a rather new facility. The grounds and pool area were very clean, as was our room. We did not eat dinner in the restaurant, but we did have breakfast one morning and our waitress.”

• I liked that it had a patio door to the outside and the pool when opened would have been great.
• Didn't offer a free continental breakfast.

“Overall the stay for one night was fine although we sometimes smelled cigarette smoke in a smoke free room. Don't know if was from hall way or from the vents.”

• The staff was extremely helpful, and the location was convenient.
• The room had a bit of a 'musty odor' when we first got there. Also, the heating system was very loud.

“This was sufficient for our needs, but nothing to rave about.”

• We liked the location, vicinity to coast line and other attractions.
• A continental breakfast bar would of been nice, like days inn has.

“the beds were comfy, plenty of pillows, room was clean, alarm clock was some what a challenge to get set, phone system was not connected to in house rooms until a call was placed to front desk, draped were too long and did not close correctly over air condition. Would gladly stay here again.”
