“I had a very bitter experience in this hotel. It was dirty, old, malodorous, unorganized, delay in response, inefficient receptionist, delay in shuttle, unfriendly room service and worst food at the restaurant. I will not recommend anybody to go there.”

“Very good location for JFK travel, free shuttle, pleasant staff, excellent food in bistro although bad service, noisy interior doors of guest rooms slamming all night, no slow release mechanism.”

“Overall it was nice, and comfortable. The bed was very relaxing. The only thing is that you didn't get a complementary breakfast with your purchase which I feel is unfair and should be offered at any hotel. Overall it was a good night's sleep.”

“Clean, convenient, very friendly staff. Not sound proofed enough between rooms and high charge for public internet in lounge. Mediocre food in Bistro.”

“This is the worst holiday inn I have stayed in and probably rates as one of the worst hotels I have stayed in around the worst for the price I paid. The hotel was shabby, the staff (with 1 exception) displayed little interest in general, the bathroom looked like a cheap b&b offering with just a bar of soap rather than the usual shower gel etc. If this is the standard that holiday inn deems acceptable than that's the last time I use the brand.”

“This hotel is very good for people flying into/out of JFK. It is a long way from downtown NYC and the staff wasn't very helpful in assisting us on how to use public transportation to get downtown using it. Their suggestion was to use a $55 60 taxi.”

“The chairs in the room were dirty, the rugs on our floor were old and smelled and the furniture was shoddy & old. The shuttle bus driver was rude wouldn't answer my mother or I when we asked how often the shuttle bus ran, the check in staff was also rude not friendly & had an attitude. We ended up having to change rooms on our last night of a 6 day stay because our room started leaking water from the ac above the ceiling, the only high point was the housekeeper the only nice person & the fact that we were native New Yorkers and was able to have fun outside of the hotel, Don't stay here.”

“The lobby was clean and the bed was comfortable. I was surprised, given the price of the room, that a fee was required for internet usage. Shuttle service to the airport was great.”

“Although their customer service is unfriendly on the telephone, their customer service is friendly and helpful in front desk.”

“This hotel is only useful for staying close to JFK. It's old and the rooms are a bit worn. The airport shuttle runs frequently.”

“The hotel far exceeded my expectations for a 2 star hotel. The room was very comfortable, and most toiletries were provided without having to ask. The service was excellent-every employee, from the security guard in the parking lot to our housekeeper, to the pool attendants, to the front desk, was warm, helpful, and had a smile for you. The Japanese gardens beside the pool and the pergola that ran the length of the hotel provided a serene environment. You would never know you were right next door to a major airport! The one drawback was the residential neighborhood it was located in. Unless you wanted your hair or nails done, shopping options were very limited.”

“The 10 min bus ride from hotel to joke is very long due to traffic. it took 30 min. the front desk needs to communicate this to customers. Also the hotel in a crumbling state on the exterior.” Amenities at Holiday Inn JFK Airport, Jamaica
