• Price, cleanliness, proximity to major colleges & attractions in the area.
• Bridge construction across from the hotel was annoying at times, but never burdensome.

“I stayed here due to finding the cheapest rate on the internet from all the hotels in the area. I can't say enough good things about this place! For the rate they charge they truly provide an exceptional room. I was in town due to my son going to school on the east coast and the staff was very helpful in finding places to eat and such as I had no knowledge of the local area. The room was excellent and clean. Great Value, definitely recommend!”

• The staff was very helpful and polite.
• Cigarette smoke smell in hallway.

“Very satisfied with hotel. The front desk staff was very friendly, helpful and polite. The room is basic but clean and comfortable and has a refrigerator and microwave as well as a single cup coffee maker. The coffee was not refilled after my first morning. The continental breakfast made up for it. Overall, not luxury but great for the price.”

• The location is fine, near the interstate, so that you may easily navigate to and from the motel.
• I stayed in the unattached buildings, they were very dark and I did not feel as though most would feel safe in their hallways at night.

“The motel is in a good location but it quite antiquated and in need of updating. The shower was clean in general but grouting had mould spots. The television worked but the promised premium channels were not available and there was no pay-per-view option. The detached buildings, where I stayed, were dark and I doubt most people would feel terribly safe in them alone at night. I kept all 3 deadbolts in place while I slept.”

• The staff was great!
• A little bit hard to find.

“The staff was great; they went out of their way to be helpful. The room was clean. There were lots of food places to choose from close by. The internet worked perfectly. For a short business trip I would not mind staying again. The price was a little high but not unexceptionable in a pinch.”

• Room, lack of cleanliness.

“Cheap and not in a good way. Looks like they bought out a portion of another hotel and did not do a good job. Asked for non-smoking, got smoking. Away from main structure, staff had no idea what was going on doors slamming, people smoking in hallways. Outside door not locked. Bathrooms. Called at 5 am for an 1130 am pick-up. No apology.”

• Free Wi-Fi, lots of cable channels, frig and micro in room, free breakfast.
• The bathroom is in desperate need of a remodel and our non-smoking room smelled like smoke.

“Overall the hotel was nice. The Free breakfast had a lot of variety and it was conveniently located. The staff was very pleasant and helpful.”

• Clean facilities, friendly, helpful staff.
• Disappointed with the suite. It was not much more than a glorified standard room.

“This was actually a nice facility except that the rooms were not what I expected. Quite possibly overpriced. I reserved a suite for three people and although the room accommodated my party, it was not as large as a room I was expecting nor was it as luxurious as I might have liked. Despite my disappointment, the room was clean and otherwise well appointed. The location is convenient and the hotel grounds were well kept. All in all, I would stay there again.”

• I like its close proximity to the highway we were on.
• We had to put a towel across the bottom of the door to keep smoke out of our no-smoking room.

“It was a great place to stay. My only concern was that I had to initial that we would not smoke in the room, and then we had a problem with smoke drifting in the room through the gap under the door. I did call the office and the person who answered offered to change our room, but the towel we put across the bottom of the door took care of the problem.”

• The continental breakfast was phenomenal.
• Other guests were quite noisy somewhat late into the evening.

“Hotel staff was very helpful on several occasions-extra linens, check out questions, etc. The continental breakfast was phenomenal-better than past experiences at any other hotel claiming the same-homemade waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, a variety of juices, omelets, Danishes, etc. The location was extremely convenient for our travel plans-near to thruway and Northway. The pool was chilly (it had just opened that day) but it was crystal clear and my kids loved it. We brought my 83 year old grandmother along and she was equally satisfied with all amenities. We would absolutely stay here again.”

• Good Continental breakfast, very clean lobby and good people.
• Out of way and hard to get to by car if your are from out of town.

• Nice room, comfortable bed.
• Airport Pickup request was not relayed during shift change. I waited outside in 20 degree weather for 45 minutes.

“Staff disorganized and not very knowledgeable about the area. Somewhat helpful but not overly so. Housekeeping staff noisy, loud talking and door slamming during their shift. Impossible to sleep or relax during the day.”

• Building unlocked; space heater running in entrance.

“There is no way this is a 2 star hotel. It looks like an old motel converted with the Quality name on it. The walls were whitewashed. The room smelled of disinfectant over smoke (though it was non-smoking). Bathroom was dirty. You need to downgrade this place.”

• Location-right off i-87; very convenient.
• The hotel is a motor lodge with interior hallways. It comprises 3 buildings and the layout was confusing. It was hard to find my room!

“This hotel is adequate, but the bed was not comfortable and the room was not very up to date. The last 2 star Albany hotel I stayed in was a four star hotel compared to this property. I am glad I was alone and not with my family. The conditions were barely acceptable. When I checked in, I was told I was in the building just across the way. I was not told that there was a separate entrance for the second floor, so I went to a third building only to become more confused. I did finally find my room, but it took almost 10 minutes of walking and driving around.”

• After giving us a terrible room because they did improve our status.
• At first we were placed in a smoking room in an out of the way building. We complained then were upgraded.

“Convenient area, rooms were in a distant separate location, staff did accommodate a change to a much better room.”

• At 1:30am a group of young persons were across the hall with bottles partying.
