“The staff was great, had a wonderful breakfast every morning (till 11 am on weekends) and provided free wireless Internet. We didn't use the gym and pool but would have if had our gear. If you're planning on exploring Newport, the hotel was not located in the heart of the city but that was a minor drawback if you have a car, however, it was near lots of supermarkets and chain restaurants. Highly recommended!”

“I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Close to many attractions we visited. Did a good job keeping hotel running with limited staff through a snowstorm. Need to enforce no smoking in stairways during the snowstorm. The odor came up into the no smoking rooms.”

“Do not waste your time with this hotel. They will overbook and tell you that 5 rooms are damaged due to pipe issues, and they may made a reservation for you at another hotel without telling you. At 1:00 AM I had to fight with the front desk for them to take responsibility for messing up and find me a room at another hotel.”

“We were extremely happy with the hotel; the staff was courteous and helpful. The location was great, just a short ride to Newport. The room was spacious, we had plenty of room for the pack-n-play for our baby. There was a fridge and microwave in the room in addition to the usual iron, coffee machine and hair blower. The staff allowed us to use the tables in the back for a BBQ. We had a lovely experience and would definitely consider coming back to the hotel.”

“It was a great relaxing getaway. The room was clean and the kids loved having movies that you could buy that were still in theatres. I loved how close it was to the beach and other attractions we wanted to see.”

“Elevator was broken and not repaired for the 4 days and 3 night we stayed, pool was too chlorinated and made family very sick, breakfast was not good at all. The best thing about the hotel was the proximity to Newport Down Town.”

“The hotel was very nice. I was expecting something a bit more romantic and closer to the downtown. I realize the location was good though as it was easy to drive to places downtown.”

“We had an enjoyable experience at this hotel. The objective of our stay was to visit the Breakers, et al., and were pleasantly surprised to find them so close to the hotel. The hotel itself is in the middle of a very busy and not upscale neighborhood.”

“We had to get up very early and we slept above the pool and it was way too loud.”

“I would not recommend this hotel family and friends due to the noise quality. I was extremely disappointed with our room and the amount of noise from the pool below us and the loud drunk people above us. We were traveling with a small child who was awoken by the bangs and screams of people.”

“Great looking hotel. Very clean. Friendly staff. In close proximity to shopping and restaurants. Great parking accommodations. The one downfall is that noises from other patrons rooms (TVs, snoring, talking) and from the exterior of the hotel (car doors slamming, people talking) could be heard very clearly during the wee hours of the night. Other than that, excellent hotel.”
