“Nice hotel. Very clean. Had a refrigerator and coffee pot in the room. Good continental breakfast. Double beds were actually queens I think, which was a bonus. Lobby is nice and friendly staff. Location is good to. I would definitely stay at the hotel again.”

“This hotel needs improvements to update. We were put in the back of the hotel facing a major highway. It was very noisy all night. The restaurant and lounge that was mentioned in the write up was not available. It was shut down. There was not a phonebook available at the front desk. The public restroom had no toilet paper or paper towels in it. I was very glad that it was only for one night and that we were going else where.”

“It served it's purpose. Not the best location or atmosphere, but the bed was comfortable.”

“I had to drive around the building more than once to figure out which door was the lobby/hotel entrance as opposed to the restaurant and conference center entrances (and Im not an inexperienced traveler). Once I was registered I was sent to a door for parking and the nearest entrance to my room the door handle was broken off and I could not enter, after hauling my suitcase up the flight of stairs. There was another door that was also out of order. So getting to and from my vehicle each day was a hassle. The drain in my tub was very slow at the end of my shower I was standing in a full tub of water. I reported this and it was not fixed during my stay.”

“Good hotel over all but the aroma is not very pleasant. Also I requested a room that was non smoking but was placed in a smoking room surrounded by other smokers so the smell of smoke was constant.”

“This hotel would be wonderful if it was more handicapped accessible. There are no elevators and there is only a staircase that goes up to the second floor. The hotel is clean and staff is very friendly and helpful.”

“We had problems upon checking in with the room they gave us. We asked for non-smoking with queen sized bed and were given a smoking room with a single twin bed. The staff did move us to a better room. On one day, housekeeping failed to clean our room in the morning. It was brought to the attention of the staff and the room was discovered still unclean later in the day. I have stayed at this hotel in the past and this was the worst experience to date.”

“We checked into this hotel and were given a room that was in an old wing. The carpet was stained in the hallway and the full-size bed was sinking in the middle. We asked for a new room and the hotel staff did give us a room with a king size bed in the renovated area of the hotel.”

“This is our 3rd year staying at the hotel, and were surprised by the old unfinished shabby room- in spite of the $2 million renovation. We saw boxes and signs of improvements, but were not on the receiving end of any of the updates. Our room had graffiti on the back of the wall, cigarette burns on the toilet seat, and carpet not finished to the floor - it was a disappointment, and our last stay here.”

“The front desk staff was the most unprofessional I have ever come across anywhere on my travels. First, during check-in, I was waiting at the counter for almost 10 minutes with not a soul in sight. Yelled out for signs of life; none there. Knocked on a door very loudly; no response. Well after that, a man and a woman walked out from the back in rumpled clothes and proceeded to check me in - no apologies for keeping a customer waiting. Couple of days later my PhD advisor was supposed to pick me up for dinner. Being the absent-minded professor that he is, I thought he would give the front desk my maiden name while I had checked in my married name. When I went to alert the front desk staff about this (the same man), he noted my request with a creepy smirk and made an unbelievably bold comment, given that he had already seemed like an unsavory character and I try to avoid altercations with unsavory characters, I let it pass. But I have warned all my colleagues about this hotel and I for one will not use this hotel the next time I am in that area.”

“The hotel was run down and very dirty. My first room had dirty pillow cases and I changed rooms. My 2nd room was not much better; the bathroom floor was filled with hair from previous guests. I was not pleased with my stay and the hotel seemed to be very low budget with cheap furniture. I will not stay here again.”

“I requested a non-smoking room. They put me in a smoking room. This hotel was under renovation at the time. The section of the hotel that wasn't under construction was rather shabby and had a peculiar smell to it. The carpet along the threshold of the bathroom was held down with duct tape. The air conditioner housing was broken and bent and wouldn't circulate the air correctly. I was very displeased with the service and room.”

“The hallway had a terrible odor. The hotel did not display any excellence at all. The employees wore any kind of attire that they felt like. They woke up that morning and felt like dressing like bombsite bathroom floors had duck tape holding down the tile. Overall the hotel had the aura on it of one that houses homeless and war veterans, no level of ambiance.” Amenities at Quality Inn Vernon, Vernon
