“This was the worst hotel experience I've ever had. We stayed 3 nights, and were never given clean towels. The room reeked of cigarette smoke. The carpet was wet from a leaky A/C unit.”

“The wireless system doesn't work properly very slow (dial up slow even with good reception) and kept dropping off when using the shower it would make significant noise I am not sure what this was caused by but the noise was so loud that it would wake up the entire wing of the hotel. The noise was so bad that I changed the time I would take a shower so as not to wake anyone else up you could also hear the noise from other rooms when I am assuming other people were taking showers the toilet also made lots of noise when it was flushed walls were very thin and you could hear other people easily, the linen on the beds was worn out but clean (you could see through the material easily) pillows were not very firm (cheap) they had an adequate breakfast but watered down the juice (water with orange flavor) from a security standpoint if this was a major metropolitan area I would have felt a little less secure on the positive side the staff was extremely helpful and positive and would do all they could to assist you after returning to my room at the end of the day my room was made up and clean, I am writing as someone who spends at least half the month on the road in different hotels and have done this for almost 20 years.”

“We have been placed here before and groaned! Two stars is really a stretch. Location is rather out of the way and hard to find. Rooms are rather small with a small TV and few channels, and the ironing board is attached to the middle of the main wall! The new Hampton inn next door looks to be way better.”

“This hotel will not let you down if you are looking for a clean, comfortable accommodation with easy on and off i89. I was also shocked that it is 5 minutes from university of Vermont campus. I got more than I expected for the mooneye spent.”

“Most things about this hotel were acceptable but the front desk service was slow. The frustration in registration could have been mitigated if the attendant would have just made eye contact and said "Im sorry for the delay Ill be with you in a moment".”

“The hotel was nice for the price that I got. Once we were moved out of the original room and into another we found it clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and it was a pleasant stay. We would stay there again without hesitation.”

“The hotel is clean and well situated. The price is excellent for this type of hotel. Staff is very courteous and the non smoking environment is appreciated. Good breakfast can be had at the diner just down the road from the hotel.”

“Would never consider this Inn again. The room was small. The TV remote and telephone were filthy. The air conditioner vents appeared to never have been dusted. We were afraid to turn it on. There were no bedspreads to cover the beds-just a blanket and sheets. We had no maid service to make the beds or change the towels. When we complained to the front desk they merely apologized and handed us new towels. When checking out there were other guests waiting for an unseen desk clerk.”

“This is a reasonably priced and for me, well located and have stayed here 3-4 times total and will stay there again. It has a breakfast buffet that is minimal, but there are other restaurants nearby for those that need more nourishment then a bowl of Cheerios. It is well located just off I-89 for traveler and is clean with an attentive staff. I do recommend it with the one caveat of the breakfast.”

“The bedding was clean and the beds were made with lovely linens. Too bad however, I did not know that the Vermont Maple Inn uses only smoking rooms for their customers, or I never would have tried the motel. We spent the night up with a sick child, as he's very allergic to smoke; which caused him to have a protracted asthma attack. We also had to leave our luggage in the car because the scent was so overpowering and disgusting! Wish I'd been told beforehand about the smoking rooms only policy.”

“I wasn't able to find the hotel at night (down a road behind several restaurants), even though it was near the exit indicated. I was concerned about fire safety, since there was an elevator but no stairs visible or signed.”

“I was very pleased with the hotel. It surpassed my expectations of a two star rated hotel. It was extremely clean and everything seemed to be newly renovated. The bed was great too! The staff was extremely friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed.”

“The Staff was very friendly and helpful. It is at a great location in Colchester, right of highway 89, and was clean and mostly comfortable (the bed was a little hard, but not too bad!) The room could have used a fresh coat of paint, especially in the bathroom, but it was functional, and like I said, clean. Overall, it was a good stay.” Amenities at Fairfield Inn Burlington Colchester, Colchester
