“I really enjoyed the hotel. It was nice, very clean and welcoming. The staff was really friendly. The free breakfast was excellent, much more than you would normally expect in a hotel. The hotel is about 15 minutes walk from Quincy market and I found the walk quite enjoyable. For the price I found online it was an unbelievable deal. I would definitely recommend it.”

  • I like access to a kitchen, so this hotel works for me as a business traveler. The view was wonderful.

“The hotel was great. I am a business traveler with my family also joining me, so I need access to a kitchen and laundry. The staff was great! I didn't know that the parking was $32 per day.”

  • The hotel was spacious and the staff very friendly.
  • When we asked for an extra blanket we didn't get until the next day when I saw the cleaning lady with extras.

“My husband and I had a nice stay at the hotel. The room and facilities were clean and the staff was friendly.”

  • Friendly staff - very helpful and courteous.

“Had a great visit! My first time in Boston. If I come to Boston or know anyone who is going - I would definitely recommend this hotel because of the good location but especially because of the wonderful staff!”

  • The staff was superior in all respects. The best I've seen.
  • Needs more parking spaces.

“If anyone finds this hotel lacks in any respect, the staff clearly more than makes up for it!”

  • Great location, friendly and knowledgable staff, clean and comfortable rooms, abundant free breakfast ensure a perfect Boston trip.

“The two night stay at the Residence Inn was wonderful. We stayed in a studio-suite, the small kitchen had a miniversion of all appliances (electric stove, dish washer, fridge, microwave), the bed was very comfortable. The staff greeted us by name and was very informative throughout the trip. The complimentary breakfast had plenty of variety and was tasty, with sausage, scrambled/boiled egg, orange/apple/cranberry juice, milk, chocolate milk, yogurt, bagels, muffins, and even selfmade pancakes! Valet parking was $32 overnight, but the staff provided very useful hints on finding cheap parking spaces in a safe neighborhood. We had a view of the I-93 bridge, though we are not that far from the freeway, there was no noticable noice in the rooms.”

“This hotel is a great place to stay because it's clean, there's free brunch, the staff is nice and there's a kitchen in every room. It's kind of a pain to get to though.”

  • Location - close to attractive harbor and walking distance to many sights.
  • Room felt small and while clean and presentable, the hotel seemed a bit basic.

“Great location - walk able to freedom trail and many sights. Service and facilities reasonable in a city that is expensive for hotels.”

  • Best section of Charlestown within walking distance of Boston's North End.
  • Expensive parking given its location.

“The hotel is located at the border of Charlestown and the North End of Boston. The Boston side of the hotel has views of the new Zakim Bridge and the Boston skyline while the other has views of the Charlestown harbor and Naval Yard. It is walking distance from the North End and is located basically on the Charlestown Navy Yard, which is a National Park housing the USS Constitution ("Old Ironsides") the oldest commissioned naval vessel in the world as well the more modern USS Cassin Young and the USS Constitution Museum. All of these sites are free of admission fees (a donation is requested but not obligatory) and offer a nicely encapsulated look at shipbuilding and the early navy. While there is no subway ("T") stop in the vicinity, there is a harbor taxi stop at the site and as stated previously, the North End and its respective T stops are located within a short walking distance. While staying in Charlestown, make sure to visit the Bunker Hill monument and to dine at Tangerino, a Moroccan restaurant less than 1/2 a mile from the hotel.”

“I left the hotel on Sunday afternoon and realized that I had left my watch on the table in the room. Instead of going back up to the room I decided to use my cell phone for a watch. When I returned to the room later that evening I did not think about the watch. On Monday morning when I was getting ready for work I could not find the watch. I remembered that I had left it on the table the previous day and had to use my cell, but I thought that I might have, absentmindedly, moved it when I came in the previous evening (although I did not think so). I was late for work so did not have time to look for the watch. When I returned to the room Monday evening I looked for the watch. I checked under the table, check through the garbage, checked around the chair cushion, checked under the chair, pulled up the cushions on the couch, checked under the couch, dumped my purse and work bag out on the bed, checked under the bed and checked the pockets of the clothing I had worn the previous day. I even checked in my vehicle, even though I was certain that I had left the watch on the table in the room and never had it in my vehicle. My watch was not in the room. On Tuesday morning I reported what I believe to be the theft of my watch. When I returned to the room later that evening I called the manager about my missing watch. He told me that the lock on my door had been "interrogated" and that it showed that only my key had been used to enter the room. Ok, so unless the watch grew legs and jumped off of the table, and grew arms and opened the door, it could not have gotten off of the table and out of the room unless something happened that should not have. Bottom line: don't leave anything of value in a place where it can grow legs and arms and leave the room all by itself.”

  • The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly and the location was great! Rooms were beautiful - great bedding. Also served wonderful breakfast!
  • Pretty good walk to closest T stop - not bad for adults, just a little tough for young kids. There is a water taxi close-by though.

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. And the hotel exceeded our expectations. Our room was fantastic, hotel was in a great location, there was amazing customer service, wonderful breakfast. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone - traveling for business or pleasure.”

“Room is very generic. No lobby bar or restaurant rather it was just a few tables and a stand up bar in the middle of a room. Good location.”
