“Very nice to be close to Universal and City Walk. No car rental needed.”

“Our room was robbed of our computer & bag, cell phone, chargers, I-pod, accessories, and even our medication when we left our room one morning thinking this was safer to leave in our room rather than in the car. To our horror, when it was reported missing to the hotel security that afternoon, they did absolutely nothing! Their "investigation" was to check our key cards to see how many times we entered and left our room, that's it! They told us they were not responsible for articles lost or stolen and we were basically on our own. The manager on duty for the day didn't even know who her boss was when we asked for the General Manager's name. We were told that his name was not available to us! I asked if she would please contact the GM and have this person contact us, and we never heard from anyone. The local Police Dept couldn't even make it to the hotel to take our report, it was finally filed over the phone the next day. This hotel lacks security because the security personnel didn't even know their own safety procedures. I personally witnessed their so-called check point for the employees when I walked right on through past the person checking people in and out twice and was never asked who I was or what I was doing in a "Staff Only" corridor. The Valet allowed me to go to my car to remove items without asking for ID or as much as a room key to prove who I was and if I actually was the owner of the vehicle. When I reported this info the security dept, they had nothing to say. I have never seen such unprofessionally in a 4 star hotel. My opinion is this is not a 4 star hotel- it's worse than a 1 star! It is not even owned by the Hilton Corp., it's a franchise with no known HQ's to report them to. I believe the whole staff is involved in covering up this crime so, YOU, the innocent traveler, will be trusting and naive just like we were. High price to pay for thinking we were staying with a name like Hilton, near a park such as Universal Studios, and in a town like Hollywood. This is an overpriced, unsafe, unpleasantly staffed & over-rated tourist trap. I am placing warnings all over the internet to warn travelers about this hotel and their crime against us. Do yourself a favor and call the Sheraton next door!”
