• Good Breakfast.
• Filthy Room. Unchanged Sheets. Unfriendly Staff.

“First impressions are good (doesn't get much better). The rooms are quit small and dated but comfy for a one night stay. The window didn't shut in our First room. Also this room had not been cleaned and the bed linen had not been changed. We were moved in to a smoking room (we are non smokers) at 11.45pm. At least this room was clean. The shower was either extremely hot or cold in the morning. We couldn't get a comfortable temperature. Breakfast was good. For the price this was a very poor showing. Wouldn't stay here again. On our experience a hostel would have been just as good.”

• Comfortable, clean
• Hotel getting very slightly tatty and needs redecorating

“Everything was good, service fine, food very good, staff very helpful. The only very minor complaint is that the hotel is beginning to look a little worn around the edges and probably could do with redecorating, but its not so bad as to put anyone off. ”

• Staff very helpful and friendly
• Ground floor room looking over car park so bit noisy as people left in cars 3am.

• The staff were friendly and accommodating
• The first room was noisy but we were moved and upgraded

“Would've been helpful to receive a map to the hotel via email as I had to try and find directions myself which was difficult. Hotel itself was in a great location and the staff were helpful but rooms could've been a bit cleaner.”

• Warm & cosy bedroom. Excellent beds. Excellent choice of breakfast & as much as you liked. Excellent location for theatres,restaurants,shopping,feeding swans.Hotel staff courteous & helpful.
• Hotel is old & cavernous with stairs to bedrooms from reception which could have been awkward for guests with infirmities.

“When I booked it stated 'non smoking rooms available.' I am a smoker & presumed smoking rooms would be allocated unless a non smoker was requested. When we booked in we were in a non smoker so had to go back to reception to request a move. There was no problem but perhaps smoking/non smoking could be added to the request form.”

• The staff were fantastic, very caring and attentive. Bards Restaurant was superb
• The decor was a little tired and shabby

“The hotel is in a great location for Stratford-upon-Avon attractions, and easy to reach the motorway networks too. Despite the tired decor, the staff at the hotel made the stay very enjoyable and the restaurant (Bards) was very high quality - the breakfasts particularly.”

• Just over the road to The RSC theatre's. Staff very freindly and helpful
• Parking costs extra and the rooms could do with a bit of modernisation

“Overall the staff where very helpful and the room tec. where adequate. Breakfast is extra on top of your room rate so add '10.50 per person to the overal cost”
