David from Preston, United Kingdom “We arrived very late and were pleased to be greeted by friendly night staff. If you are going to rely on room service then check in advance as hours are limited. Breakfast was very good and the service was excellent. A number of parties were using the hot” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“The hotel was clean, warm and comfortable and very busy, expecially the health club. The staff were efficient and friendly. The extras such as iron and ironing board etc were good. The only small thing I would say is try to get a room on the top floor (” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“I work in a Hotel, so can be picky about things, but the Hotel was excellent with great leisure facilities. Eventhough we didnt use the Restaurant as we were there for only one night and had already made plans it looked nice and so did the bars. The Receptionist that checked us in and out was welcoming and very friendly and so was the night clerk that gave us our key after a brilliant night out in Newcastle! The only thing we found was that breakfast wasnt included in the rate. We're planning our next trip soon and hopefully (if there's room) staying at the Village Hotel again!” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Enjoyed my stay as the hotel was very near to relatives and all places I wised to visit. Everything was as expected from web info. No nasty surprises. The standard of the hotel is what I am used to staying in and will certainly stay in again as it had all the amenities required for plesant stay.”

“Excellent - I didn't mention the extractor fan during the stay because initally I thought it didn't have one! Only realised after we'd used the shower for the last time and thus there didn't seem much point.”

“The leisure facilities at this hotel are fanastic - better than the gym I am a member of! Staff were friendly and helpful and the hotel was clean, spacious and generally very light and airy. Breakfast is not included, but was very reasonably priced with a fairly good choice. Plenty of car parking, but not the easiest place to find and perhaps not the best place for people relying on public transport. I would highly recommend this hotel, but to make it really worth while, make sure you take your gym and swimming gear and give yourself plenty of time to use the facilities.”

“The Hotel was by far the BEST i have had the pleasure of staying at. The staff were very friendly (esp K in the bar). The leisure suite was great, swimming pool, steam room and sauna worked a treat for the morning after the night before (K's fault for the massive hangover he he). If, no sorry when i next need a room near Newcastle then this will deffo be the place i will be staying at.”
