“The hotel was always very clean and tidy, the staff were polite. We were full board at the hotel, but the meals were not very good. There was always a meat dish and a fish dish but unless you got there early the food was lukewarm or cold. At dinner there was never anything that went with that particular meat or fish dish, on one evening there was plain pasta, plain rice and brussel sprouts. All the English guests had a great laugh with the toaster in the morning, they used to all congregate round it like the were expectant parents waiting for the birth of a baby. Good place to visit on a Wednesday morning was the gipsy market, which was right opposite the hotel. Also Villamoura was very nice and only a 20 minute walk from the resort. ”

“My partner and I spent 2 weeks in the Hotel from 17 May 2005, on a half board basis.
The hotel was well presented, very welcoming and always pristine. The reception area staff were very helpful and good humoured. The rooms were well furnished and well served by the cleaning staff.
The dining room was bright and airy but the variety of food found there was very limited. Typically there would be one meat and one fish dish with little or nothing for vegetarians. Deserts would often comprise a small bowl of jelly and a piece of fresh fruit if you were early enough.
I must mention the toaster which was so slow it became a daily challenge among the guests to see if someone could turn a piece of bread, brown!
In summary, we enjoyed our stay so much we intend to return especially now we know where the supermarket is.”

“We arrived early in the morning before check-in time and was pleased that the hotel had taken note of our requirements and we were allowed to check-in immediately. Upon arrival at the hotel we had left a bag in the taxi that bought us from the airport. The manager was extremly helpful and assisted by making several calls to locate the bag - which could have been an unhappy start to the beginning of our holiday. All future requests for assistance were met politeness and promptness. We were pleasantly surprised with the standard of the facilities of the hotel and I would definately recommend the hotel to friends, family and colleagues.”
