• Immediate access to a first class restaurant.
• Noise from the main street added to air-conditioning.The TV controls were old and were difficult to work and need replacing

“The possible attractions where unknown and the find of the old walled town were a major plus. The retail shopping was also far better than say Calais. Detail of the restaurant were available on the internet but although a booking was requested and showed on my copy reception was not aware.No town map was avaiable and i would have taken one with me.”

• Very pleasant ambience. Nicely appointed throughout.
• Rather unyielding mattress! Would have appreciated facility for making hot drink in own room.

• Attractive, clean and pleasant staff. Good bathroom.
• Too hot. A/c efective but very noisy. The room looked onto a public corridor so curtains needed all time.

“Although the room was pleasant with good facilities, in our view it did not quite merit the 4 star rating. We arrived in the dark and left at breakfast but if we had been there longer the room would have felt gloomy - the curtains couldn't really be pulled right back (because the room overlooked a public access)- to be fair, people probably wouldn't have been able to see in but it still felt a bit close.
Also we did not have a good night's sleep as the a/c in the room (very necessary)was very noisy and kept clicking on and off to keep pace with the thermostat setting. A/C definitely needed as the room was otherwise very stuffy.
In summary, the room was nice, the bathroom excellent and the surroundings pleasant enough but we felt that the hotel wasn't particularly good value especially as breakfast and car parking were extra. We regret to say that this means that we would try and find somewhere else to saty on another occasion.
Very good meal at the restaurant.”
