• the leisure facilities, the room was a good size, reception staff good
• tub drain filled with hair, horrible bar & leisure staff, filthy breakfast area

“The hotel was great but definitely could have been better. The tub drain was filled with hair to the point the water stood still after showering (room 223) and also balls of hair on and around tub. The night tables hadn't been cleaned as there were biscuit crumbs all over them. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The leisure staff and bar staff could learn a thing or two from them as they were humourless and miserable. We ate in your bar in the non-smoking section where people next to us were smoking - bar staff walked past probably 10 times & said nothing, which was extremely irritating. The next day the breakfast area was filthy - dirty cutlery, trash all over the floor, etc. It hadn't been cleaned from the night before, obviously. But I cannot fault the leisure facility itself - it was great, clean and a really good time.”

• Restricted use of leisure facilities for children. Noisy room so disrupted sleep.Nothing for children on an evening the childrens channel no7 on tv in room not showing childrens tv but sky tv channel menu.

“Good hotel for adults but does not cater for families as children can only use the pool and leisure facilities at certain times.Notice given out that members of the leisure club didnt want children in pool on evening although hotel guests pay for the facilities .Without hotel guests money wouldln't their membership fees increase!”

• Slow check in and staff response to requests

“Generally had a good stay. Minor points are the attentiveness of the staff and lack of 'smoke free' non-smoking area.”
