• We had great weather that weekend so luckily was only in the hotel to sleep.
• rude owner and terrible chef and misleading information about having AA 3 rosette awards/organis products.

“Room was basic and beds comfortable but shower room needed some upgrading. Welcome was at come and pays now and then was overcharged for dinner twice. Dining was a horrible experience. Not only was dinner bland greasy breakfast inedible the tables were not laid properly, no table numbers, wine offered post meal, a guest was shouted at for moving a table and it all looked tried and shabby in the dining room. Seems to get away with it as mainly disabled guests who perhaps would not wish to complain and limited choice of access in hotels in the area. Add in a surely teenage daughter flouncing in and the occasional visit in the dining area of the dogs (who appear to be residence in cooking quarters) then I would recommend this hotel for bed only. Also, owner did not tell us about the code to get in at night, breakfast has to be decided the morning before and time, too. A truly Devon Fawlty Towers experience to keep your friends amused in retelling the experience!”
