• Bar downstairs means a short drunken walk to bed.
• The ATM machine never worked right.

“I stayed here to 3 weeks in may 2008, clean room, good service. Menu was repetitive after first week, but everything was good, except the steak. Stay away from that. Beer was good and plentiful at nighttime. Breakfast bar was not for me, but hey had juice and granola bars and that was more then plenty. I can't complain. Also had internet access for a nominal fee of course. But it was worth it since I stayed 3 weeks. Hope you have a good one, if you really have a choice, stay in Bournemouth.”

• Good views from bedroom of River Stour.
  Decking outside bar and restuarant also on river Stour

“Convienient location just on outskirts of Poole and Bournemouth.
Hotel has on site bar and restuarant.
Room was a good size, clean and well decorated. Tea and coffee making facilities in room, but also complimentary bottles of mineral water (great for me as i'm a non tea and coffee drinker) the biscuits and mints left with my clean towels also went down a treat!”

• The decor and cleanliness of the rooms were good. The hotel had a very pleasant outlook over the river. Quite restful.
• First night we were in a room at the front of the hotel overlooking a busy road. Perhaps windows needed double glazing not secondary glazing to block out noise.

“In all our stay was very comfortable. It was described quite well on the web site. Still feel that perhaps a better choice of menu's in the restaurant would have added to the hotel.”

“As a person born and raised in Xchurch I have always been aware of the hotel etc as I used to be a regular visitor (in my youth).

My children live in the area and the Bridge House was not my first choice. The hotel on Poole Quay was. As this was full the internet pointed me in your direction. Your hotel proved be be excellent and very good value.

My brief stay was very enjoyable and also stress free.”

“First time I had booked on line and was pleasantly surprised at the standard of the hotel...far better than a travel lodge. Extremely clean and friendly hotel. Would have liked better directions to hotel.. much further down the road than imagined, on the point of turning back when we noticed hotel. Thank you for making our stay very pleasant, especially seeing the wild life e.g.swans being fed at breakfast.”

• Staff excellent, good views, easy parking, everything worked, room clean, good value for money.
• Bathroom tatty, tiling/woodwork over pipes disintegrated months ago by the look of it

“Good value, room clean and quiet, staff courteous and friendly, specially the little French? barmaid with tiny wire framed glasses!
The food was disappointing, but inexpensive and to be fair we were very tired having driven 200 miles and eaten fairly well at lunchtime.
The breakfast was very good, maybe could have offered a hash brown or two for my veggie wife but that is nit picking, there was plenty of choice.
We had comfortable accomodation, a meal, full breakfast and plenty to drink at a very reasonable price.”
