  • Lake location.
  • Very poor not 4 star rooms.

“Below are extracts from my letter to the Tour Company upon return from holiday in May2008. These points were made to the tour rep at the time. Now to the Seeburg Hotel.1) Our party was assigned was a Stalinist monstrosity of an annexed. Totally out of character with the beautiful old main building. 2) Food was very good. 3) Our room. There is no way that the room was of 4 star quality. It can best be described as poor travel lodge standard, tired and in need of a complete revamp. If required I have photos of the points listed below. It was very small with little room to store two suitcases. Both easy chairs were worn, and in places, threadbare. The wallpaper was cheap, badly hung and peeling off in places. Cheap skirting boards had been fixed so that screws were visible all round. An electric socket was only partially fixed to the wall under a bed side table such that it was hanging. Only one bed side table appeared to have a drawer. When I turned the table round I found a radio where the drawer would have been. Needless to say this did not work. The utility style wardrobe had no handle but a key, which when used as the handle just came out, as the fitting was badly worn. 4) Toilet bidet was cracked. 5) The smallest bathroom ever in a 4 star hotel. No bath just a shower. There was not enough room in the bathroom to put out all the toiletries. There was just no space. The bathroom was just big enough for one person to use the basin. A towel rail was hanging off the wall as it was not screwed in properly. Where shower fittings had previously come away from the wall tiles there were holes where the raw plugs had been, some had been filled in, others not. Green tiles and white filler. All in all a most disappointing start to our holiday. Whether you will receive similar complaints from others in the party I do not know. But I am aware that we were not alone in our feelings about this accommodation. This was definitely not 4 Star.”
