“The hotel is set in a charming village close to Windsor. The rooms are very comfortable (including down pillows and duvet) with a decent size kettle, TV and good shower.

• Conveniently located, very clean, good food, plesant staff.
• Room too small for a double room, restaurant was pleasant but smoke from bar intruded & mobile phones allowed.

“The room was very small, double bed only acessible from one side. I think it was a single room with a double bed in it.

Some retaurants ban mobile phones which I think is a good thing when paying a reasanable amount for a good meal. Here phones were going all the time although I do appreciate some were press people covering Charles & Camilla wedding.”

• Location, accessibility to local transport
• Low ceilings made the shower impossible to use.

“Availabilityof non-smoking rooms. Closeness of railway - noise not a problem. Flight path to/from Heathrow - noise a definite problem.
Breakfast choice excellent on Saturday but service not good enough. Buffet breakfast on Sunday very limited choice.”

• The rooms are usually good, good food and service
• on this visit the single room was too small and was unable to turn down the radiator (too hot)

• Very small rooms Booked a double room but didn't get a double bed, got 2 single beds pushed together.

“We arrived at the hotel at 3pm to be told that our room wasn't ready and to take a seat as they would get it sorted asap, after 40 minutes nobody had come to get us, so we returned to the reception desk to be told the room was ready.
Evening meals in the hotel are not very private ,as there is a bar linked to the hotel and people from the bar were walking through the restaurant to use the tiolet, and also coming into the restaurant to use thier mobile phones as it was too noisey for them in the bar.
The cleansiness of the restaurant/ breakfast room wasn't up to scratch as was very dusty and there were empty wine bottles in coolers around the room at breakfast time, obviously left from the night before.
We left our hotel room at 10 am to go into Windsor, but when we returned in the evening our room had not been cleaned.
Overall i don't believe this hotel meets up to 4 star standards as advertised, but is more a 3 star.
Very dissapointing stay.”

• Nice relaxed atmosphere, clean tidy rooms, pleasent atmosphere
• Found room very cold, needed extra heat from portable heaters, had to find elsewhere to eat due to the early closure of resturant

“fantastic transport links, clean rooms, good breakfast. We felt the resturant closed too early, although clean we felt the rooms were too cold, bar service good, and although small cosy!”

• Comfort, cleanliness and very good attentive service.The breakfasts were delicious and served swiftly.
• Only criticsm, the cups in the room and the teapot at breakfast (day 2), were chipped.Otherwise,perfect!

“This was our second visit, and I hope to visit more often in the future.
Overall, it was a very happy stay and the staff and services were excellent. Real Value for money!”

• attick rooms are not suitable for tall people

“My room in the attick did not allow me to stand properly.
All night long there was a noisy buzz sound
Also the Xmas party music in the restaurant was quite noisy.”

• Clean and tidy. Looked recently redecorated. Basic facilites.
• No outlook.Room over airconditioning unit? Quite noisy. Double glazing did not stop aircraft noise.

“It would have been helpful to know that rooms were not available until after 2pm as internet booking had asked for estimated time of arrival. We got there at 1.50pm but had to return later to book in. Reception did allow us to leave our baggage in a side lounge. As the hotel was situated in close proximity to the rail way station it would have been useful to know how frequently the trains ran and to where. The limited car parking ran to four spaces and these could be in use by people using the hotel restaurant.”

• Good clean well kept rooms. Staff very helpful especially those at breakfast and dinner.
• The decor in the rooms. The calm serene atmosphere.

“My overall view is that its a fantastic place for anyone to stay. It would be nice though to have a sky movie channel rather than only sport for quiet relaxed nights in.”

• restaurant food - excellent
• receptionist made a big deal about which of us was paying - inappropriate. Waiter a bit surly when we arrived 5 mins before end of breakfast sitting - commenting that we were very late. room nice but very small

• Initimate and homely feel in a quiet location, yet 1 mile to Windsor and close to Heathrow Airport.

“Room was boxy, staff were unfriendly, and trays were left cluttering the hallway all night and morning. Attention to detail was missing, customer service poor.
The reason that they take full payment upfront at check-in is so you can't leave after seeing the size of the room!”
