• Relatively large rooms.
• Very cheap furnishings.

“Room was pretty clean, lit primarily with a yellowed fluorescent ceiling fixture. Furniture & furnishings were cheap and showed. Not at all elegant located in a rather iffy neighborhood, even though car park was under video surveillance, security was still an issue. Better off staying at an airport hotel at the same or even cheaper rate.”

• The room was large and well equipped. It was good value for money and close to amenities

“The hotel is in a good location, is very clean and well equipped. It is good value for money, the staff were attentive. friendly and helpful. I would have liked a refrigerator in the room, as I was staying for business.”

“The accomodation was excellent value for money. My room was very well proportioned, with an en-suite bathroom. The room and bathroom where both very clean and tidy. All hotel staff where friendly and attentive.”

• Friendly staff, different (family) style than chain hotels. Good food

“The menu was excellent, combining home cooked indian food and traditional British Fayre. Breakfast was similarly well presented.

The staff were always present and available and very friendly. There was no need to go out of the hotel in the evening.”

• Nice, quaint location, tidy
• Difficult to locate (luckily someone a business colleague dropped me off and a taxi picked me up!)

“The hotel was adequate for the reason I was there. I had worked at my company's local office in Slough and arranged to go out for a drink with colleagues who are based there. I would have preferred somewhere more central (ie. by the train station) but they were full. This hotel however was reasonably priced, check in/out was quick and simple and the staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfast in the morning. I would stay there again.”

• Good size rooms, clean and tidy
• early morning noise from the breakfast room TV. I was in the room above

“Good friendly staff. Clean and tidy large rooms. Good breakfast included. A little difficult to find in the dark when you do not know the area. The turning to the small road is right on top of a major junction. Some advance notices to the location on approach would be good. Generally a great place to stop over. I would recommend it”

“Have stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the UK. Have to say the Upton Park ranks as one of best, wouldn't hesitate to book again. The staff are kind and helpful, making you feel very welcome and at home. Both the breakfast and dinner tatsed great. The room was big and very clean, the en-suite facilities were modern and spacous. I will stay here again and recommend it to my collegues.”
