“We stayed just one night. We arrived after lunch had a quick snack in the bar which was good value and after a walk along the river came back at tea time. Tea and coffeee were soon made available and after a wash and brush up we had an excellent meal in the restaurant. Papers were delivered in the morning, an excellent choice at breakfast and check out was very efficient.”

“Hotel was relatively easy to find, but traffic through Sonning village is very congested at commuting times. Hotel is in a very nice setting, but the village offers no options for meals other than the hotel and one village pub - prices in both were quite expensive. My room was in the main hotel building (there are three other blocks containing rooms around the car park), and was large and well equipped.

“Breakfast was excellent and service good and very helpful. I wouldn't want to stay in the Paradise Yard again though”

“Lovely location with the river gliding past the end of the garden, with both a towpath and formal path wending their way along the riverbanks. Efficient AND friendly staff gave me a warm welcome and farewell. Busy traffic in the road alongside the hotel but it quietened down overnight. Great Value overall. I've recommended you to a friend and booked another visit too.”

“The hotel is set in beautiful surroundings and the description of the hotel is a stated on the web. I would liked to have known more about the range of rooms to choose from and the difference between them all. The house could have been sign posted better from the road.

“The hotel is in a lovely location next to the river and the village of Sonning is very picturesque also. The view from my room of the boats and the bridge was fantastic. My only regret was that it was only a one night stay and that I didn't have any time to really explore. Although the building is quite old and so some of the public areas are a little worn, the rooms themselves are very comfortable and nicely decorated.” Hotel Representatives:
