  • The outside looks really nice and the jimmy chungs restaurant is great - jacuzzi was excellent
  • the room really needed decorated - bedding wasnt comfortable and the headboards were stained

“the jacuzzi in the room is a nice touch but the decor needs an update - it has a nice impression from outside but once you get to the room it lets you down”

  • The warmth and freindliness of the staff
  • The description of it as luxury - this is way off mark

“I was attracted to a description of a hotel that considers itself in the luxury category but wildly disappointed. While the rooms are spacious the addition of a jaccuzi to a basic en-suite bath does not constitute luxury. The decor is below par for standard fair - sad and worn with water stains around the radiators and large paper doilies everywhere. The building is dark and traditional with little redeming features except the helpful and freindly staff. The entrance is marred by an 'eat all you can' giant Chinese buffet sign for the restaurant that doubles as your breakfast lounge and saddled on the other side of the entrance is the hotel's bar which lacks any class feeling more like a local pub. The staff warmth forgave a lot but not enough to merit going back.”

  • The rooms were large
  • Furniture in rooms were very worn, no hot water.

“On first impressions the hotel was loveley. Check in was good. The furniture in the room was in very bad condition and there was no hot water. Jimmy Chungs didnt live up to much either. The sports bar was good and the prices were very cheap although the receptionist that was working on the Sat night spent most of her shift drinking in it instead of seeing to guests.”

  • Nice friendly hotel
  • The bed matress in the room was a bit uncomfortable

“Difficult to be too descriptive for just one night stay, but overall experience was very good. If I were to travel to Aberdeen again I would certainly consider staying at the Edwardian again.”

  • I liked the size of both the room and bathroom. It makes a difference not to walk in and see another run of the mill hotel room!

“We were very pleasantly surprised about the room, the jacuzzi in the bathroom is a nice touch and we would definately come back and stay at this hotel in the future. The staff were very friendly and helpful which in my eyes makes all the difference.”
