  • Central location, comfortable bed.
  • Room rather small and next dooe to a nightclub, during Christmas party season.

“The hotel is comfortable and friendly, with helpful and efficient staff. I particularly wanted a central location at an affordable price. I was fortunate to be able to use the hotel's limited parking facilities. Everything in the room worked and the shower was powerful and with stable water temperature. I enjoyed a good night's sleep and a good breakfast.”

  • Room was basic but clean and hotel was centrally located. Staff were friendly and helpful.
  • Room smelled of smoke despite being labelled as non-smoking room. Reception and stairs were worn and grubby. Hotel was situated next to a night club and there was considerable noise during the early hours of the morning.

“Hotel was advertised as having been refurbished. Although this may have been true of the rooms, it certainly wasn't true of the reception and stairs, which gave the hotel an overall grubby appearance. Adjacent location of night club would have put me off booking as we were attending a conference 5 miles outside the city which entailed long working days ans an early start each morning.”

  • It was very central close to Union Street and very hospitable.

“I was extremely pleased with the location of the hotel. The rooms were clean and tidy, we got extra towels when we asked, no problem. The price was also very reasonable and I would definitely recommend this hotel.”
