• Very friendly staff. Perfect location. Nice clean well kept hotel and rooms.
• Fridge (mini bar) not working.

“This hotel is one of the best we have stayed at. The location is perfect amid the exciting heart of Barcelona. All the tourist spots are easily accessible and the airport buses stop in front of the hotel. The staff were brilliant, nothing too much trouble and complimentary drinks all day were a pleasasnt suprise. Great value for money and thoroughly recommended. A must visit again hotel and city.”

• Modern, central to amenities of Ramblas etc
• The room was too small. Twin rather than double.

“Whilst the hotel is in good condition, with facilities we were very disappointed with the size of the room and bathroom. Small bath when a double shower would have been appropriate in space. Would suggest this room was only adequate for single occupancy. We requested a double room on arrival but were told none available, although halfway through our stay speaking to other guests they were allocated a double when they requested a twin room as they were same sex. It would have been nice if someone had taken the trouble to offer us a double when one had become available.

The variety of food at breakfast was excellent, however, the hot food seemed left to stand for too long and was not filled up regularly. Twice we came down to only eggs as a selection because the other hot food was not restocked.

Whilst the internet facility was an added bonus, of the two machines available only one was working for the whole 5 days we stayed.

On a positive note, the hotel is ideally placed for touring the city, metro is few hundred yards from door and main line station. Cakes, sandwiches and a selection of drinks were available all day free of charge which was very nice.”

• Excellent location. Excellent breakfast. Friendly, efficient staff. Excellent value for money.

“This is an excellent hotel. The location could not be more central, yet the hotel is quiet inside. The room was very comfortable, with everything you would expect - including minibar and fluffy white bathrobe. Free cava, coffee, pastries, filled rolls and mineral water available all day (even for those on B & B). Free internet access. Breakfast was amazing - Buck's Fizz, smoked salmon, eggs and bacon, cold meats and cheeses, amazing fresh fruits - and even chocolate cake. The staff were very friendly and efficient. This hotel offered amazing value for money. I shall definitely be back.”

“Fantastic central location, especially as one of our party had impaired mobility. taxi rank and stops for sightseeing bus etc outside hotel. Lots of good places to eat within easy walking distance. Would always use the hotel in any future stays in Barcelona.”

• Only one english speaking channel on tv.

• Beautyful hotel, wonderful view over Plaza Catalunya, friendly staff, excellent breakfast buffet
• Some rooms have no window

“This wonderful small hotel is located in a beautyful house directly at Plaza Catalunya only a minute away from the Ramblas. The view over the place is spectacular, but if you close the windows you do not hear to much. The rooms are small but very clean, comfortable and furnihed nicely, simple but with taste. The breakfast buffet with different styles of food from ham and eggs to cakes is served in a beutyful salon. The young staff is friendly, charming and helpful, even in critical situations (my purse was stolen in town and they helped to cancel my cards etc.). Only make sure, that you will not get one of the few rooms without windows. It feels quite claustrophobic there. We had to stay in such a room for our first night. But it was no problem to change the room the next morning. One of the nicest and friendliest hotels I ever stayed in. A great place especially for a weekend trip to Barcelona.”

• the central location of the hotel was excellent
• the room was not ready for us on our arrival and the breakfast was just warm
